Job Objective<\/p>\n
The purpose of this position is to support the delivery of core People and Culture functions across the University, ensuring efficient HR operations while fostering a positive and impactful employee experience aligned with the University\ufffds strategic objectives and sustainability goals.<\/p>\n
Duties and responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tSupporting workforce planning, budgeting, and job evaluation processes to ensure optimal staffing and resource allocation. \u00a0
\n\tJob evaluation and analysis, managing the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process. \u00a0
\n\tSupport talent management initiatives, including performance management, talent reviews, and succession planning. \u00a0
\n\tMonitoring and analysing the departmental performance, including tracking objectives and conducting SWOT assessments. \u00a0
\n\tImplementing learning and development initiatives.\u00a0
\n\tManaging staff performance.\u00a0
\n\tProvide HR advisory support to departments, faculty, and staff, ensuring compliance with labour laws and institutional policies.\u00a0
\n\tCollect, analyse, and act on employee feedback to continuously improve the employee experience. \u00a0
\n\tCoordinating activities, guiding and implementing staff disciplinary policy.\u00a0
\n\tManaging employee separation.\u00a0
\n\tAssisting in planning and implementing employee reward and employee welfare programmes.\u00a0
\n\tPreparation of departmental and University Council reports.\u00a0
\n\tAny other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors or as captured in your detailed job description.<\/p>\n
Qualification and experience<\/p>\n
\tA Bachelor’s degree in human resource management from a recognised university; A Masters degree in human resource management is desirable\u00a0
\n\tA Certified Human Resource Professional\u00a0
\n\tUp-to-date IHRM membership\u00a0
\n\tAt least 5 years of experience as an HR generalist in a medium-sized or large organisation is mandatory; experience in a private university will be an added advantage\u00a0
\n\tMust possess working knowledge of the labour laws\u00a0
\n\tMust possess demonstrable skills of an Employee Experience Champion\u00a0
\n\tGood communication and interpersonal skills.\u00a0<\/p>\n
