JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
\nThe\u00a0Power Plant Mechanic\u00a0is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment in the power plant, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
\tConducting maintenance, inspections, and repairs on power generation equipment and associated mechanical systems.
\n\tDiagnosing and troubleshooting issues in engines, turbines, compressors, and other power plant systems.
\n\tPerforming preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and fluid systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
\n\tReading and interpreting blueprints, technical schematics, and manuals to perform repairs and installations accurately.
\n\tDocumenting maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and operational upgrades in support of power plant operations.
\n\tOperating and maintaining tools and testing equipment required for maintaining mechanical systems.
\n\tEnsuring compliance with safety protocols, operational standards, and environmental regulations while performing maintenance activities.
\n\tCollaborating effectively with supervisors and other team members to prioritize and accomplish assigned tasks.<\/p>\n
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tSuccessfully completed a\u00a0three-year apprenticeship program\u00a0in mechanical trades or power plant mechanics.
\n\tProficiency in maintaining and repairing mechanical systems related to power generation equipment.
\n\tFamiliarity with best practices for equipment safety and maintenance procedures in industrial and power plant environments.
\n\tHigh school diploma or equivalent.
\n\tMust be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
\n\tPassport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
\n\tMust successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for the duration of deployment.<\/p>\n
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n
\tCertifications or advanced technical training in power plant systems or mechanical maintenance.
\n\tPrior experience working in OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) or austere environments with multi-national workforces.
\n\tValid country driver\u2019s license and passport.
\n\tExcellent troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills.
\n\tFamiliarity with industry safety standards and mechanical diagnostic tools.<\/p>\n
