This role is central to ensuring high-quality teaching, effective implementation of the Kenyan Competency-Based Education (CBE), and outstanding academic and behavioural outcomes. The Headteacher will mentor, coach, and professionally develop teachers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Operational Leadership &amp; Communication<\/p>\n<p>Administrative Management<\/p>\n<p>\tDaily Operations Oversight:\u00a0Ensure smooth running of all Junior School activities, including timetabling, classroom allocation, and resource management.<br \/>\n\tEfficiency &amp; Compliance:\u00a0Monitor administrative processes to guarantee efficiency, adherence to policies, and compliance with regulatory standards.<br \/>\n\tResource Coordination:\u00a0Manage logistical needs such as teaching materials, facilities, and support services to optimize the learning environment.<br \/>\n\tProblem-Solving:\u00a0Anticipate and resolve operational challenges quickly, ensuring minimal disruption to teaching and learning.<\/p>\n<p>Internal Communication<\/p>\n<p>\tInformation Flow:\u00a0Act as the central link between the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Junior School staff, ensuring clear, timely, and transparent communication.<br \/>\n\tFeedback Channels:\u00a0Establish systems for gathering staff input and relaying it constructively to management.<br \/>\n\tPolicy Dissemination:\u00a0Communicate policies, updates, and strategic priorities to staff for consistent implementation.<br \/>\n\tCollaboration &amp; Alignment:\u00a0Facilitate regular staff meetings and briefings to align the team with school goals.<br \/>\n\tCulture Building:\u00a0Promote openness, trust, and collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>External Communication<\/p>\n<p>\tParent Engagement:\u00a0Serve as a key liaison with parents, ensuring they are well-informed on academic progress and school initiatives.<br \/>\n\tStakeholder Relations:\u00a0Maintain professional communication with education authorities and community partners.<br \/>\n\tInformation Sharing:\u00a0Provide timely updates through newsletters, meetings, and digital platforms.<br \/>\n\tCrisis &amp; Professional Development<\/p>\n<p>\tAcademic Quality Assurance:\u00a0Take full responsibility for teaching and learning quality, maintaining high pedagogical standards.<br \/>\n\tCoaching &amp; Mentoring:\u00a0Lead structured coaching through classroom observations and feedback.<br \/>\n\tCurriculum Expertise (CBE):\u00a0Work closely with curriculum leadership to ensure strong subject knowledge and learner-centred delivery, including Project-Based Learning (PBL).<br \/>\n\tPromoting Values:\u00a0Embed core competencies and values into daily teaching.<br \/>\n\tCPD Strategy:\u00a0Design and deliver impactful professional development sessions.<br \/>\n\tPerformance Management:\u00a0Oversee appraisal cycles, set goals, and ensure accountability.<\/p>\n<p>Staff Management<\/p>\n<p>\tLine Management:\u00a0Provide direct leadership to all teaching and support staff.<br \/>\n\tTeam Culture:\u00a0Foster a collaborative and professional teaching environment.<br \/>\n\tStaff Deployment:\u00a0Allocate staff effectively to optimize learning outcomes.<br \/>\n\tRecruitment &amp; Induction:\u00a0Lead hiring and onboarding aligned with institutional values.<\/p>\n<p>Academic &amp; Behavioural Oversight<\/p>\n<p>\tAcademic Attainment:\u00a0Ensure effective use of assessment data to drive student achievement.<br \/>\n\tPastoral Support:\u00a0Oversee student well-being and support systems.<br \/>\n\tDiscipline &amp; Behaviour Management:\u00a0Ensure consistent application of behaviour policies and proactive interventions.<br \/>\n\tCase Management:\u00a0Handle disciplinary matters fairly and consistently, involving parents where necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Welfare<\/p>\n<p>\tLearner Welfare &amp; Safeguarding:\u00a0Champion safeguarding and ensure compliance with child protection protocols.<br \/>\n\tShared Responsibility:\u00a0Encourage parent and stakeholder involvement in welfare.<br \/>\n\tInclusive Culture:\u00a0Promote diversity, belonging, and inclusion.<br \/>\n\tSupportive Environment:\u00a0Build a culture of trust and respect among staff and students.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements<\/p>\n<p>Required Qualifications &amp;
