KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Enterprise Architecture Governance & Strategy<\/p>\n
\tDefine and maintain the Enterprise Architecture framework, principles, technology reference architecture, and enterprise roadmap.
\n\tLead architecture review processes and provide sign-off on significant technology decisions.
\n\tPartner with the\u00a0Technology Business Management\u00a0office to ensure architecture decisions are visible in technology investment and portfolio governance.<\/p>\n
Architecture Practice Leadership & People Management <\/p>\n
\tLead, coach, and develop direct reports: Enterprise Architect, Solution Architects, and Cybersecurity Architect.
\n\tEstablish consistent ways of working, quality standards, and governance rhythm across the practice.
\n\tProvide architectural oversight and mentorship to Data and Cloud Architects (dotted line) during their establishment phase.<\/p>\n
Transformation Programme Architecture <\/p>\n
\tProvide architectural direction and governance across active transformation programmes including cloud migration, unified data, IAM, cybersecurity uplift, and digital capability initiatives.
\n\tEnsure cross-domain coherence so no initiative creates architectural debt or integration complexity.<\/p>\n
Integration Strategy & Governance<\/p>\n
\tDefine and own the organisation’s integration strategy covering API design principles, middleware, data flow standards, and platform choices.
\n\tExercise functional authority over Integration Platform Admins and Engineers (dotted line).
\n\tEstablish and govern integration patterns across third-party and internal systems.<\/p>\n
Development Practices & Standards <\/p>\n
\tEstablish and maintain organisation-wide development practices including coding standards, code review processes, branching strategies, testing standards, and technical debt management frameworks.
\n\tInfluence and evangelise adoption across development and product teams (dotted line).<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Engagement & Technology Business Management Partnership <\/p>\n
\tBuild trusted relationships with engineering, product, operations, and business leaders.
\n\tCommunicate architecture strategy and decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences including the CIO.
\n\tRepresent architecture in programme governance, steering groups, and vendor discussions.<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
Required Education, training, license, registration, and\/or Certification<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
\n\tPostgraduate qualification in IT, Business, or Architecture is advantageous.
\n\tArchitecture certifications (e.g. TOGAF, AWS\/Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent) preferred.<\/p>\n
\u200b\u200bRequired Professional Experience<\/p>\n
\t10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise, solution, or technical architecture roles, with at least 3\u20135 years in a senior or lead architect capacity.
\n\tDemonstrated experience leading architecture governance across complex, multi-domain transformation programmes.
\n\tProven track record in defining and implementing integration strategy in multi-system environments.
\n\tExperience establishing or significantly uplifting architecture governance frameworks and development standards.
\n\tPeople leadership experience managing and developing small, senior technical teams.
\n\tComfortable operating in environments where functions and practices are still being established.
\n\tStrong influencing and stakeholder management skills \u2014 able to drive alignment across dotted-line relationships without direct authority.<\/p>\n
Preferred Experience, Knowledge and\/or other Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tFamiliarity with technology cost\/value governance.
\n\tExperience with modern integration platforms (e.g. Azure Integration Services, AWS EventBridge, or equivalent).
\n\tExposure to IAM architecture, cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001), and data architecture principles.
\n\tExperience in organisations undergoing significant transformation at a comparable scale.
\n\tPrior experience working within or alongside a Technology Finance func<\/p>\n
