POSITION SUMMARY:<\/p>\n
\tAs a UX Engineer, you will be expected to visualize business processes into customer journeys, that are transformed into wireframes, prototypes and hifi designs for development by the engineering teams. You will also be expected to provide mockups to enable clarification of requirements and business expectations. All this should be delivered in standard UX design tools and frameworks.
\n\tThe User Experience (UX) Engineer will report to the Senior Manager, Product Architecture (Kenya).<\/p>\n
WHAT YOU WILL DO:<\/p>\n
\tChampion a customer-centric approach to design and development, advocating for user\/customer engagement and empathy
\n\tEnsure adoption of leading UX practices and UX processes
\n\tDevelop Graphical User Interface (GUI) for multiple applications-based customer journeys and business processes
\n\tDevelop customer journeys to inform UX strategies for different solutions
\n\tDevelop and validate different artefacts related to UX such: wire frames, screen flows
\n\tPerform user research through qualitative enquiry, quantitative data analysis and user testing to capture user goals, needs and expectations
\n\tCollaborate with important team members on the identification of UX opportunities and UX gaps in existing solutions
\n\tCollaborate with Architects, Product Owners and Developers to implement designed solutions.<\/p>\n
WHAT YOU BRING:<\/p>\n
\tAt least 3 years’ experience in UX design in a busy software development organization\/team
\n\tExperience with UX for mobile (Android & Apple) applications and web platforms
\n\tVisual, interaction, UX design and prototyping background
\n\tRelevant experience in User Flows, Journey Mapping and conducting collaborative workshops
\n\tExperience with at least one UX design and prototyping tool (Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD)
\n\tExperience with user stories, personas, customer journey mapping or service blueprints
\n\tExperience working with Agile Frameworks e.g. Scrum or SAFE.
\n\tFluency in English, both written and oral.
\n\tExperience in use of project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Projects<\/p>\n
