Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Accreditation & Regulatory Compliance<\/p>\n
\tLead and manage the full accreditation process with NCK and TVETA
\n\tPrepare, compile, and submit all required statutory documentation
\n\tCoordinate site inspections and ensure full compliance with regulatory standards
\n\tMaintain ongoing compliance with applicable laws, including the Health Act and TVET Act<\/p>\n
Institutional Setup<\/p>\n
\tOversee the establishment of teaching infrastructure, including classrooms, skills laboratories, and library facilities
\n\tEnsure all training equipment and resources meet NCK standards and guidelines
\n\tSupport development of institutional policies, systems, and governance structures<\/p>\n
Curriculum Development & Partnerships<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and submit curriculum for regulatory approval in line with national standards
\n\tEstablish and formalize partnerships with hospitals and healthcare facilities for clinical placements
\n\tEnsure alignment between academic programs and healthcare industry needs<\/p>\n
Faculty & Staff Recruitment<\/p>\n
\tLead or support recruitment of qualified nursing tutors, clinical instructors, and support staff
\n\tContribute to building a high-performing academic team<\/p>\n
Institutional Leadership (Principal Role)<\/p>\n
\tProvide overall leadership and strategic direction for the college
\n\tOversee academic programs, admissions, examinations, and graduation processes
\n\tEnsure quality assurance and continuous improvement of academic delivery
\n\tManage staff performance and institutional operations effectively<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
Education<\/p>\n
\tMaster of Science in Nursing (MScN)
\n\tRegistered Nurse with a valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya
\n\tDiploma in Medical Education or Technical Education (required for teaching in TVET institutions)<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 5\u20137 years’ experience in nursing education
\n\tAt least 2 years in a senior academic leadership role (e.g., Head of Department, Deputy Principal, or Principal)
\n\tProven experience with NCK and\/or TVETA accreditation processes is highly preferred<\/p>\n
