JOB OBJECTIVE(S)<\/p>\n
\tThe IT Security Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the bank\u2019s information security strategy to protect systems, networks, and data. The role ensures alignment with the bank\u2019s risk management framework, regulatory requirements, industry and group best practices.<\/p>\n
INFORMATION SECURITY STRATEGY & GOVERNANCE<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement the bank\u2019s information security strategy aligned with enterprise risk management.
\n\tEstablish security policies, standards, and procedures.
\n\tEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., central bank regulations, data protection laws).
\n\tReport on security posture and risks to senior management and risk committees.<\/p>\n
RISK MANAGEMENT<\/p>\n
\tIdentify, assess, and mitigate IT and cybersecurity risks.
\n\tConduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
\n\tIntegrate IT security into the bank\u2019s overall risk management framework.
\n\tMaintain risk registers and track remediation action<\/p>\n
SECURITY OPERATIONS & INCIDENT MANAGEMENT<\/p>\n
\tOversee security operations including monitoring, detection, and response.
\n\tLead incident response and investigation of security breaches.
\n\tEnsure timely resolution and reporting of incidents.
\n\tCoordinate disaster recovery and business continuity planning.<\/p>\n
COMPLIANCE & AUDIT<\/p>\n
\tEnsure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and regulatory guidelines.
\n\tCoordinate internal and external security audits.
\n\tAddress audit findings and implement corrective actions<\/p>\n
SECURITY ARCHITECTURE & CONTROLS<\/p>\n
\tDesign and implement secure IT infrastructure and systems.
\n\tManage identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security controls.
\n\tOversee third-party\/vendor security risk management<\/p>\n
AWARENESS & TRAINING<\/p>\n
\tPromote security awareness across the bank.
\n\tConduct training programs on cybersecurity best practices.
\n\tFoster a culture of security and risk awareness.<\/p>\n
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS<\/p>\n
\tReduction in security incidents and vulnerabilities.
\n\tCompliance audit results and regulatory adherence.
\n\tIncident response time and resolution effectiveness.
\n\tRisk mitigation effectiveness.
\n\tUser awareness and training completion rates.<\/p>\n
JOB REQUIREMENTS
\nEducation:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
\n\tMaster\u2019s degree is an added advantage.
\n\tProfessional certifications such as:
\n\tCISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
\n\tCISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
\n\tCRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control).<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 5\u201310 years of experience in IT security, preferably in banking or financial services.
\n\tExperience in risk management and regulatory compliance.<\/p>\n
