\tTo provide strategic leadership in the design, development, and optimization of lending products, with a focus on SMEs and underserved market segments. The role is responsible for driving sustainable portfolio growth through innovative, customer-centric, and risk-aligned financial solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Product Strategy and Portfolio Leadership<\/p>\n
\tDefine and execute the lending product strategy aligned to organizational growth objectives.
\n\tDevelop and maintain a forward-looking product roadmap focused on scalability and market relevance.
\n\tIdentify emerging market opportunities and design differentiated financial solutions.
\n\tMonitor and optimize product performance including portfolio growth, loan uptake, customer retention, and profitability.<\/p>\n
Product Development and Customer Experience<\/p>\n
\tLead the end-to-end lifecycle of lending products from concept to rollout and continuous improvement.
\n\tDesign simple, accessible, and customer-centric financial products tailored to SME needs
\n\tIncorporate customer insights, behavioral data, and market feedback into product enhancements.
\n\tCollaborate with technology and operations teams to ensure seamless product delivery and user experience.<\/p>\n
Credit and Risk Integration<\/p>\n
\tWork closely with Credit and Risk teams to embed sound lending principles in product design.
\n\tEnsure a balance between portfolio growth and credit quality
\n\tMonitor product-level risk performance including default rates and portfolio health.
\n\tAlign product structures with risk appetite frameworks and underwriting policies.<\/p>\n
Compliance and Governance<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all lending products comply with applicable financial regulations and internal policies.
\n\tSupport audit, compliance, and reporting requirements related to product performance.
\n\tPromote ethical lending practices and customer protection principles.<\/p>\n
Commercial Performance and Growth<\/p>\n
\tDrive revenue growth through product optimization, pricing strategies, and market expansion
\n\tPartner with Sales and Marketing teams to improve product positioning and market penetration.
\n\tDevelop strategies to increase conversion rates, reduce churn, and improve customer lifetime value.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Management and Leadership<\/p>\n
\tLead cross-functional collaboration across Credit, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Technology teams.
\n\tCommunicate product strategy, performance insights, and key decisions to senior leadership.
\n\tEnsure alignment across departments for efficient product execution.<\/p>\n

\t\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
\n\t\u00a0MBA or professional certifications are an added advantage
\n\t\u00a0Minimum of 7\u201310 years\u2019 experience in financial services
\n\t\u00a0At least 4\u20135 years in a senior product, lending, or credit leadership rol
\n\t\u00a0Strong understanding of SME lending and credit risk frameworks
\n\t\u00a0Proven experience in developing and managing lending products<\/p>\n
