Position Summary<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payables who will ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments and expense claims. He\/she will be required to support the company\u2019s supply chain by maintaining healthy vendor relationships, monitoring payment cycles and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tReceive, verify, and process supplier invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policies.
\n\tCode and post invoices in the accounting system.
\n\tRoute invoices to relevant department heads for approval and follow up on outstanding approvals.
\n\tPrepare and process payment runs (cheques, EFT, bank transfers, mobile payments).
\n\tRecord supplier payments and expenses in the accounting system.
\n\tMonitor due dates to ensure timely settlement of obligations and avoid penalties or disruptions.
\n\tTrack and allocate operational expenses accurately.
\n\tReconcile supplier statements with company records and resolve discrepancies.
\n\tMaintain accurate and up-to-date creditor ledgers and vendor files.
\n\tPrepare monthly creditor aging reports and accrual schedules.
\n\tSupport monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing.
\n\tAct as the main contact for supplier queries on payments.
\n\tManage disputed invoices by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
\n\tBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure uninterrupted supply of goods and services.
\n\tEnsure compliance with statutory requirements (VAT, withholding tax, excise duty).
\n\tProvide documentation, reconciliations, and schedules for internal and external audits.
\n\tDevelop and support projects or initiatives related to payables to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
\tDiploma or Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
\n\tCPA (K) Part II or ongoing certification preferred.
\n\t3 years\u2019 experience in accounts payable or finance in a manufacturing, building materials environment.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tStrong organizational and reconciliation skills.
\n\tHigh attention to detail and accuracy.
\n\tGood communication and relationship management skills.
\n\tProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or ERP systems)
\n\tAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
\n\tIntegrity, confidentiality, and strong ethical standards.<\/p>\n
