Job\u00a0Summary<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning\u00a0Foreman\u00a0leads and participates in the installation, maintenance, modification, overhaul, service, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment.<\/p>\n
Principal Accountabilities<\/p>\n
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)<\/p>\n
\tLead HVAC crew(s) and participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems to ensure that the work performed is in compliance with blueprints, manufacturer specifications, and written and\/or verbal instructions
\n\tCoordinate schedules to ensure proper distribution of work and adequate staffing
\n\tTrack, analyze, and report on progress, trends, and issues, and recommend solutions and improvements
\n\tImplement preventive maintenance programs for air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment
\n\tTrain personnel on activities relating to air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance to ensure an acceptable work performance level
\n\tFabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and chassis parts, using portable metalworking tools and welding equipment
\n\tConnect motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connect control panels to power source
\n\tMay install, repair, and service up to twenty (20)-ton air conditioners
\n\tPerform other qualified duties as assigned<\/p>\n
Knowledge & Skills<\/p>\n
\tKnowledge in principles of refrigeration, heating, and air handling
\n\tKnowledge and skill in hand tools and diagnostic equipment used in maintenance and repair
\n\tAbility to read and interpret documents such as schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals
\n\tAdditional knowledge and skill requirements may vary by assignment<\/p>\n
Experience & Education<\/p>\n
\tMinimum four (4) years of experience in HVAC field or related area
\n\tHigh School Diploma or equivalent
\n\tExpat:Trade certification in heating and air conditioning or proof of training\/competency; EPA Section 608 Technician Certification Type(s) 1, 2, and\/or 3 as required by duty assignment
\n\tFN:Trade certification in heating and air conditioning; verifiable host country certification in Freon Recovery\/Recycling
\n\tAdditional experience and education requirements may vary by assignment<\/p>\n
Physical Requirements\/Working Environment<\/p>\n
\tLiving and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
\n\tLong hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
\n\tPersonnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions<\/p>\n
