The officers will be responsible for timely, accurate, and high-quality data entry into electronic data capture\u00a0(EDC) systems.<br \/>\n\tThey will also assist with data abstraction, verification, and documentation in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GC<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities <\/p>\n<p>\tAbstract data from routine health records such as:<br \/>\n\tBirth registers Mortality registers MPDSR committee meeting forms Surveys with facility administrators and healthcare workers<br \/>\n\tQualitative records and logs maintained by Practice Facilitators<br \/>\n\tAccurately enter data into EDC platforms (e.g., REDCap, ODK) within defined timelines.<br \/>\n\tPerform double data entry and validation checks to ensure consistency and minimize errors.<br \/>\n\tIdentify, flag, and escalate data inconsistencies or missing information to the Senior Data Analyst.<br \/>\n\tEnsure secure storage, backup, and maintenance of data management documents in line with study SOPs.<br \/>\n\tMaintain detailed logs of data entry activities, queries raised, and resolutions provided.<br \/>\n\tReview and resolve data queries raised during quality control reviews.<br \/>\n\tLiaise with field staff (e.g., nurses, clinicians, facilitators) to clarify and verify source data discrepancies.<br \/>\n\tParticipate in data quality assurance activities, including team reviews and refresher trainings.<br \/>\n\tEnsure all data entry activities comply with the protocol, SOPs, GCP, and ethical guidelines.<br \/>\n\tPromptly report any issues affecting data quality or workflow to the Senior Data Analyst.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>\tDiploma or Bachelor\u2019s degree in Health Records, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field.<br \/>\n\tAt least 1 year of experience in research data entry or health records management (required).<br \/>\n\tUp to date Good clinical practice (GCP) Certificate Hands-on experience with electronic data capture systems such as REDCap or ODK (mandatory).<br \/>\n\tFamiliarity with clinical research procedures, documentation, and terminology.<\/p>\n<p>Key Skills and Attributes<\/p>\n<p>\tFast and accurate typing and data entry skills.<br \/>\n\tExcellent attention to detail and ability to identify data inconsistencies.<br \/>\n\tStrong organizational and time management skills.<br \/>\n\tProficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel) and EDC platforms.<br \/>\n\tHigh level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.<br \/>\n\tEffective communication and interpersonal skills to support coordination with study teams.<br \/>\n\tAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary setting.<br \/>\n\tCommitment to following established protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.<br \/>\n\tCultural sensitivity and ability to work respectfully with diverse teams and study populations.<\/p>\n<p>Working Conditions<\/p>\n<p>\tFull-time position based in Kisumu County with frequent travel to facilities in different counties within the Western region (Kakamega, Homabay, Kisii, Siaya, Migori, Busia, Nyamira &amp; Vihiga) May involve movement between healthcare facilities and field sites.<br \/>\n\tOccasional extended hours may be required to meet data entry and reporting deadlines.<br \/>\n\tRole involves prolonged periods of computer-based work.<br \/>\n\tStrict adherence to GCP and institutional data protection guidelines is required when handling participant data.<\/p>\n<p>Application Instructions Interested candidates should submit the following: A cover letter detailing their qualifications and motivation for the role A current CV with contact details of two (2) professional referees Copies of relevant academic and professional certificates as well as Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certificate to (amaniproject2025@gmail.com)<\/p>\n<p>Apply Through:<\/p>\n<p>amaniproject2025@gmail.com<\/p>\n<p>docs.google.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/amaniproject2025@gmail.com%20docs.google.com","_company_name":"Kenyatta National Hospital","_company_website":"http:\/\/www.knh.or.ke","_company_tagline":"KNH has turned 115 years and it had its Centenary Celebration in 2001.
