Role Summary:<\/p>\n
\tNursing Officer at Penda ensures the best quality of service and excellent patient experience through standardized patient triaging, management of emergencies, best MCH\/FP services as well as other out-patient procedures.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tProvide comprehensive and high-quality clinical services. This includes initial assessment of patients, triaging, MCH\/FP and nursing procedures as well as administering IV or IM medications using nursing best practice.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure the Medical Centre is always ready and well stocked with supplies and equipment, including well-packed clean and sterile items to attend to general and emergency cases.\u00a0
\n\tBe an Infection Prevention and Control Champion by implementing IPC best practices and Penda Health\u2019s IPC protocols
\n\tAccurately and comprehensively record patient data in Penda\u2019s electronic medical record in real-time.\u00a0
\n\tComplete the necessary MoH reporting requirements and ensure timely and accurate submission.\u00a0
\n\tProvide quality patient education and excellent patient experience to all clients.
\n\tEmbrace, learn and develop in an evidence-based medical system in line with Penda\u2019s developed protocols.
\n\tParticipate in continuous professional development to stay current with advances in medical practices and technology.
\n\tWork with the nurse officer in-charge and\/or branch manager to identify areas for process improvement and implementation of best practices (continuous improvement)\u00a0 to enhance overall clinical\/nursing operations.
\n\tYou may be assigned additional tasks within the medical center by the branch manager or nursing officer in-charge.\u00a0

Key requirements and attributes\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDiploma in Nursing – KRCHN holding a valid practicing license from NCK.\u00a0
\n\tValid BLS certification is mandatory, ACLS is an added advantage\u00a0
\n\tMinimum of 2 years\u2019 experience in a busy Healthcare Facility\u00a0
\n\tDemonstrated experience in MCH\/FP\u00a0
\n\tGood communication (written and verbal) skills, outstanding patient interaction skills.\u00a0
\n\tStrong demonstrated ability to use electronic health records and digital health tools<\/p>\n
