Main\u00a0purpose of the job<\/p>\n
The TVET Directorate of Amref International University wishes to engage TVET trainers on a part time. The trainer is expected to be available to teach, assess and mentor students.<\/p>\n
Principal Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tInstruct trainees in the specific course(s)\/units in adherence to the respective curriculum and occupational standards;
\n\tPlan, conduct and assess practicals in the course units assigned;
\n\tDevelop schemes of work, lesson plans and give lecture notes;
\n\tPrepare internal exams, conduct validation and of the exams;
\n\tCarry out continuous assessments;
\n\tSupervise and assess trainee(s) in the course area;
\n\tMark, grade and enter the grades into ERP for the assigned units;
\n\tSupervise trainees on industrial attachment;
\n\tPrepare trainees for external exams by providing practical technical skills as required for effective competency acquisition;
\n\tMaintaining appropriate records and making them available as required by the directorate and TVET CDACC or any other relevant body;
\n\tAdhere to the exam preparation and processing schedule;
\n\tAttendance to all class contact hours as assigned.
\n\tMentoring of students;
\n\tExamination invigilation, both internal and external;
\n\tMonitoring class attendance records;
\n\tAny other duty as may be assigned by the HOD or Director.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tBachelor of Arts in Counselling Psychology
\n\tRegistered and licensed by the Counsellors and Psychologist board
\n\tRelevant teaching experience of at least 2 years in TVET institution
\n\tMust be a holder of a Certificate in Pedagogy or registered by\u00a0TVETA as a trainer
\n\t2 years of industry experience will be an added advantage<\/p>\n
