About the Role<\/p>\n
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. This role is crucial for managing the financial operations within our dynamic logistics company, with a particular focus on air export and import activities and IATA-related transactions.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tManage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
\n\tProcess and reconcile IATA billing and settlement plans (BSP\/CASS) for air freight shipments.
\n\tEnsure accurate recording of export\/import revenue, costs, and accruals specific to air cargo operations.
\n\tPrepare financial statements, reports, and analyses related to logistics operations.
\n\tAssist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
\n\tLiaise with operational teams to ensure accurate financial documentation for shipments.
\n\tHandle customs duty and tax related entries and reconciliations.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience.
\n\tProven experience working within a logistics or freight forwarding company.
\n\tDemonstrated understanding and experience with IATA billing and settlement procedures for air cargo.
\n\tBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
\n\tProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.<\/p>\n
Nice to Have<\/p>\n
\tCPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
\n\tExperience with specific logistics ERP systems.
\n\tKnowledge of other freight modes (ocean, road).
\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n
