About the Role<\/p>\n
We are looking for a passionate and driven Junior AI Solutions Engineer to join our growing team in Nairobi. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals eager to build hands-on experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning.<\/p>\n
You will work alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions that address real business challenges. This role offers a strong learning environment with exposure to modern AI tools, frameworks, and real-world applications.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tAssist in designing, developing, and deploying AI\/ML models for business use cases
\n\tSupport data preprocessing, feature engineering, and dataset preparation
\n\tCollaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into AI-driven solutions
\n\tHelp build and maintain end-to-end AI pipelines, including model training, testing, and deployment
\n\tIntegrate AI models into applications using APIs and microservices
\n\tMonitor model performance and contribute to optimization and improvements
\n\tDocument processes, models, and workflows for internal use
\n\tStay updated with the latest developments in AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Education & Background<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field
\n\tStrong academic foundation in mathematics, statistics, or data science is an advantage<\/p>\n
Technical Skills<\/p>\n
\tBasic to intermediate proficiency in Python (preferred), R, or Java
\n\tFamiliarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
\n\tUnderstanding of core ML concepts (supervised\/unsupervised learning, model evaluation, etc.)
\n\tBasic knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software development principles
\n\tExposure to APIs, data pipelines, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus<\/p>\n

\tStrong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
\n\tGood communication and teamwork abilities
\n\tWillingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
\n\tAbility to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders<\/p>\n

\n\tFamiliarity with tools like ChatGPT, Git, Docker, or basic MLOps practices
\n\tParticipation in hackathons, open-source contributions, or research projects<\/p>\n
