JOB RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Crane \/ WHE System Mechanic\u00a0is responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various types of vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring safe and effective operations. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
\tPerforming maintenance and repair on Non-Tactical Vehicles and Equipment (NTVE), Weight Handling Equipment (WHE), Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and Ordnance Handling Equipment (OHE).
\n\tDiagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on cranes and other WHE or MHE assets.
\n\tConducting routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
\n\tMaintaining logs, records, and work orders in compliance with established standards and procedures.
\n\tUtilizing tools, equipment, and diagnostic software to perform effective and safe repairs.
\n\tComplying with workplace safety regulations and ensuring equipment is maintained to operational safety standards.
\n\tCoordinating and communicating with supervisors, team members, and stakeholders on maintenance issues and equipment readiness.
\n\tStaying updated with technical manuals, bulletins, and training for the maintenance and repair of WHE, MHE, NTVE, and OHE systems.<\/p>\n
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of two (2) years journeyman-level experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair, specifically for NTVE, WHE, MHE, or OHE, as applicable.
\n\tKnowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems related to heavy equipment operations and repairs.
\n\tFamiliarity with inspection and maintenance procedures for cranes and other similar heavy equipment.
\n\tHigh school diploma or equivalent.
\n\tMust be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
\n\tPassport should be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
\n\tAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for the duration of deployment.<\/p>\n
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n
\tCertifications or formal technical training in heavy equipment maintenance or weight-handling equipment systems.
\n\tPrior experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce is preferred.
\n\tValid country driver\u2019s license (commercial license preferred) and passport.
\n\tExcellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n
