\tCrossBoundary\u00a0Access\u00a0is recruiting a\u00a0Data Engineer. The\u00a0Data Engineer\u00a0will\u00a0be responsible for\u00a0accessing raw data from diverse sources, transforming\u00a0it\u00a0into clean, actionable datasets, and supporting the analysis of these datasets for the Access team.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tThis individual will be setting up the data infrastructure\u00a0and data processes\u00a0for Access,\u00a0leveraging\u00a0the\u00a0infrastructure already in place within\u00a0CrossBoundary.\u00a0They will apply software engineering best practices to design, build, and\u00a0maintain\u00a0data pipelines and models, working closely with business users to deliver transparent and effective data solutions.\u00a0
\n\tThe Data Engineer will be Access\u2019s first data hire\u00a0and\u00a0will\u00a0report to the\u00a0Commercial Director.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Primary Responsibilities\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDesign and implement data extraction, transformation, and loading processes\u202f\u00a0
\n\tBuild and manage a centralized data repository to support business intelligence and machine learning applications\u202f\u00a0
\n\tUtilize tools such as SQL, Python, and cloud-based data infrastructure platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure, Google Cloud) to\u00a0maintain\u00a0data pipelines\u202f\u00a0
\n\tApply data modeling principles to prepare datasets for analysis\u00a0
\n\tCollaborate with the\u00a0business users to deliver transparent and effective data\u00a0analyses and\u00a0solutions\u00a0
\n\tEnsure high performance, availability, and quality of data systems through monitoring and optimization\u202f\u00a0
\n\tCollaborate on data governance policies to ensure data compliance and security\u202f\u00a0
\n\tDocument and communicate data architecture\u00a0and processes\u00a0to Access leadership\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualifications\u00a0<\/p>\n

\tBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional certification in computer science, data,\u00a0or related field\u202f\u00a0
\n\t2-4+\u00a0years\u2019 experience working in data engineering\u00a0
\n\tHighly skilled in building and\u00a0maintaining\u00a0ELT processes for a range of complex data sources, including\u00a0open-source APIs\u00a0
\n\tConfident in designing and implementing industry-standard data modelling principles to prepare datasets for analysis\u202f\u00a0
\n\tExperience working with data lake and\/or\u00a0Lakehouse\u00a0data architectures\u202f\u00a0
\n\tHighly\u00a0skilled in SQL\u00a0
\n\tSkilled in data warehousing \u2013 Kimball technology\u00a0
\n\tProficient at working with cloud-based data tools; preference for experience with Snowflake,\u00a0dbt, and Azure Data Factory\u202f\u00a0
\n\tExperience applying software engineering best practices and guidelines to analytics code and data model development\u202f\u202f\u00a0
\n\tStrong interest in Microsoft stack technologies\u00a0
\n\tPassion for learning\u00a0new technologies\u00a0and tools\u00a0
