Job Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tThe\u00a0Hydroblasting Technician\u00a0is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing Ultra High Pressure (UHP) hydroblasting machines. This role requires expertise in hydroblasting equipment, self-sufficiency in equipment maintenance, and advanced mechanical skills, including the ability to manufacture replacement parts when necessary. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
Hydroblasting Operations:<\/p>\n
\tOperating\u00a0Ultra High Pressure (UHP)\u00a0hydroblasting machines safely and effectively to clean surfaces and materials according to operational requirements.
\n\tApplying hydroblasting techniques to meet project specifications while ensuring safety guidelines are followed.<\/p>\n
Equipment Maintenance and Repair:<\/p>\n
\tPerforming routine maintenance on UHP hydroblasting machines, ensuring equipment is operational and functioning at optimal levels.
\n\tTroubleshooting and diagnosing issues with hydroblasting equipment, conducting repairs to restore functionality.
\n\tManufacturing or fabricating replacement parts for hydroblasting equipment as needed, ensuring minimal downtime and operational efficiency.<\/p>\n
Technical Training and Compliance:<\/p>\n
\tCompleting training provided by the manufacturer or another appropriate organization to ensure proper operation and maintenance of UHP hydroblasting machines.
\n\tAdhering to all safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines during operations and maintenance.
\n\tMaintaining detailed records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacements for compliance and audit purposes.<\/p>\n
Self-Sufficiency and Problem Solving:<\/p>\n
\tDemonstrating the ability to work independently to maintain and operate equipment without external assistance when feasible.
\n\tProactively identifying potential issues with equipment and creating solutions to prevent disruptions or delays.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tHigh school diploma or equivalent.
\n\tTraining and certification in the operation and maintenance of Ultra High Pressure (UHP) hydroblasting machines, provided by the manufacturer or another recognized organization.
\n\tAt least\u00a02 years of experience\u00a0in operating and maintaining high-pressure hydroblasting equipment or comparable machinery.
\n\tMechanical aptitude and technical skills to troubleshoot, repair, and fabricate replacement parts for hydroblasting machines.
\n\tProficient in using tools and equipment necessary for the maintenance and repair of hydroblasting systems.
\n\tStrong understanding of safety protocols and best practices for high-pressure equipment operations.
\n\tAbility to work independently and ensure optimal performance of hydroblasting systems.
\n\tAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance for the duration of deployment.<\/p>\n
Preferred Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tPrior experience in an austere\u00a0OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States)\u00a0environment with a multi-national workforce.
\n\tCertification in machinist or mechanical repair skills to support the fabrication of replacement parts.
\n\tFamiliarity with hydroblasting operations for industrial or government projects.
\n\tValid country driver\u2019s license.
\n\tKnowledge of industry best practices and safety standards for Ultra High Pressure hydroblasting equipment.<\/p>\n
