About the Role<\/p>\n
Zenwheels Ltd is seeking a motivated and people-oriented Collection Officer to join our growing team in Mombasa. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers on their motor vehicle financing repayments \u2014 guiding them through their obligations, working through challenges constructively, and ensuring accounts are resolved in a timely and professional manner. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is ambitious, composed under pressure, and committed to building a career in asset finance.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tOwn the customer repayment journey \u2014 from proactive follow-up on upcoming installments to structured resolution of overdue accounts.
\n\tEngage customers in meaningful repayment conversations, negotiating realistic arrangements and recommending restructuring of financing agreements where the situation warrants it.
\n\tMaintain a disciplined and accurate record of all account activity including repayments, defaults, repossessions, and recoveries.
\n\tInitiate formal recovery procedures where required, including preparation of demand letters and active coordination with auctioneers and legal counsel.
\n\tCollaborate closely with internal teams to resolve account matters efficiently, escalating complex or high-risk cases through the appropriate channels.<\/p>\n
Academic Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tDiploma or Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
\n\tCPA qualification is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
Professional Requirements<\/p>\n
\tPrior exposure to credit management or asset finance is an advantage \u2014 candidates without this background are encouraged to apply and will receive structured onboarding.
\n\tDemonstrated ability to manage a high volume of client interactions with professionalism and consistency.<\/p>\n
