DUTIES:<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
\n\tComply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals.\u00a0 Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
\n\tLocate and determine causes of trouble in brakes, motors, switches, and signal and control systems using test lamps, ammeters, and voltmeters.
\n\tDisassemble defective units and repair or replace parts including locks, gears, cables, and faulty safety devices.
\n\tLubricate bearings and other parts to minimize friction.
\n\tInstall or repair transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment. Works from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the equipment
\n\tPerform preventative maintenance in accordance with published schedules, operating procedures, and equipment warranties. Provide input to upgrade content and frequency of preventative maintenance tasks.
\n\tConducts tests of equipment using voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, continuity testers, feeler gauges, frequency counters and other test equipment considered tools of the trade.
\n\tPerform additional duties and projects as assigned.<\/p>\n
REQUIRED:<\/p>\n
Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:<\/p>\n
\tExperience must include familiarity with working sketches, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and manufacturers\u2019 operations and maintenance manuals.
\n\tKnowledge of applicable European and\/or US Electrical Codes and acceptable trade practices also.
\n\tFamiliar with annual maintenance requirements of electrical and mechanical systems.<\/p>\n
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:<\/p>\n
\tKnowledge of applicable US Electrical Codes and acceptable trade practices.
\n\tFamiliarity with annual maintenance requirements and load testing procedures.<\/p>\n
Education:<\/p>\n
\tA high school diploma or GED is required.
\n\tStrongly preferred is either an apprentice program with a Journeyman’s Certificate and\/or equivalent field experience<\/p>\n
DESIRED:<\/p>\n
\tExperience with Otis GEN2 MRL Elevators is highly desirable.
\n\tPrevious out of home country experience and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions are a plus.
\n\tExperience working with Amentum.<\/p>\n
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tKnowledge of principles and processes involved in operating and maintaining elevators at an overseas facility.
\n\tExperience providing excellent customer services.
\n\tAbility to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
\n\tCross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
\n\tExcellent organizational and time management skills.
\n\tComputer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.
\n\tAbility to become an active and functioning member of a team.
\n\tAbility to be innovative and be an agent for change.
\n\tExpert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.<\/p>\n

\n\tFrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and vibration.\u00a0
\n\tOccasionally exposed to wet and\/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; and risk of electrical shock.
