Job Purpose<\/p>\n
\tTo support the finance function by maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, preparing financial reports, and assisting in budgeting and financial analysis.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Financial Reporting & Accounting<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and reconciliations.
\n\tAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
\n\tEnsure timely and accurate posting of transactions in the accounting system.<\/p>\n
Accounts Payable & Receivable<\/p>\n
\tProcess invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
\n\tReconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
\n\tMonitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances.<\/p>\n
Bank & Ledger Reconciliations<\/p>\n
\tPerform regular bank reconciliations.
\n\tReconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances.<\/p>\n
Budgeting & Forecasting<\/p>\n
\tAssist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
\n\tMonitor actual performance against budgets and report variances.<\/p>\n
Compliance & Statutory Requirements<\/p>\n
\tEnsure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, etc.).
\n\tPrepare and file statutory returns within deadlines.
\n\tSupport internal and external audits by providing required documentation.<\/p>\n
Financial Controls<\/p>\n
\tMaintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
\n\tEnsure adherence to financial policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
Payroll Support (if applicable)<\/p>\n
\tAssist in payroll processing and ensure accuracy of employee payments and statutory deductions.<\/p>\n
General Finance Support<\/p>\n
\tSupport the finance team with ad hoc tasks and reporting requirements.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
\n\tProfessional certification (CPA Part II\/III, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
\n\tMinimum of 3 years\u2019 relevant accounting experience.
\n\tExperience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Odoo, or similar).<\/p>\n
