\u2022 Enforce underwriting controls including on-boarding, certificates, booking of business, and documentation.
\n\u2022 Implement underwriting guidelines, process, and procedure to ensure quality underwriting and business.
\n\u2022 Ensure profitability of the department through quality control and on-boarding
\n\u2022 Quality documentation timely turn around – TAT and
\n\u2022 Excellent customer service and retention support.<\/p>\n
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tEnforce underwriting controls
\n\tEnsure compliance with underwriting guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures
\n\tEnsure clean and accurate data capture
\n\tTimely preparation of quotations and follow up
\n\tDebiting of premiums and processing of policy documents within set timelines
\n\tProcessing and checking of underwriting Documents
\n\tIssuing & signing of Motor Certificates and Yellow cards
\n\tReview and dispatch of notices and documents
\n\tEnsure that work is done within the set standards of service and TAT
\n\tPrepare relevant reports for management and departmental consumption
\n\tGive quality customer service to all clients
\n\tSafe keeping of security documents
\n\tDaily scanning and indexing of mails
\n\tInitiating motor valuation and follow up
\n\tAdherence to the credit control policy
\n\tFollow up renewals and ensure maximum retention of profitable accounts
\n\tTimely processing refunds and follow up
\n\t100% Adherence to the authority matrix
\n\tEnsure registry is fully maintained, orderly and up to date
\n\tEnsure compliance of AML and PEP guidelines
\n\tEnsure cross sale and up sale opportunities are maximized
\n\tPerform any other duties as may be required by the management<\/p>\n

\tBasic Underwriting skills and product knowledge
\n\tCustomer service skills
\n\tGood Communication Skills
\n\tComputer Literate<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE <\/p>\n
\t1 year and above\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS <\/p>\n
\tDegree in business related course preferably in insurance
\n\tACII \/ AIIK would be an added advantage<\/p>\n
