The Role<\/p>\n
St Andrew\u2019s Senior School is seeking to appoint two Sports Graduate Assistants who will assist the Director of Sport and a House Parent respectively. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants with an interest in the following sports: basketball, hockey, volleyball, cricket, football, or rugby.<\/p>\n
The Sports Graduate Assistant key areas of responsibility will be:-<\/p>\n
Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The overarching responsibilities of a Sports Graduate Assistant include:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tSupporting the School\u2019s Christian ethos as well as supporting the Chaplaincy team
\n\tReinforcing co-curricular and sporting provision\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tEnhancing the pastoral care of students\u00a0
\n\tAdministrative duties<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0Co-curricular and Sport\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tCoaching of sports teams for both boys and girls of ages 13 to 19 years old, including leading sports tours. \u00a0
\n\tAssist in the running of Co-curricular \/sport\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tAssist in instructing, teaching and coaching student games during P.E. lessons, practice and competition\u00a0
\n\tParticipate in the provision of the adventure program.\u00a0
\n\tSupport the running of the weekend activities program\u00a0
\n\tHelp with the Service program\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0Pastoral Care\u00a0<\/p>\n
\t\u00a0Work within one of the boarding house teams, including pastoral duties in the evening and weekends\u00a0
\n\tAct as a role model in all areas to pupils within the boarding house around the school\u00a0
\n\tWork with Houseparents\u2019 to support individual pupils as needs arise\u00a0
\n\tAttend a weekly Boarding House team meeting\u00a0
\n\tAssist with registration of students\u00a0
\n\tTo support the Houseparent with the admin tasks that are needed for boarding\u00a0<\/p>\n

They will have to have a degree in education or related field.

\n\tExperience of working in a School environment, or in boarding, would be desirable, but not essential. Above all, what matters is a commitment to help us provide a world-class education for our children.
