Under the supervision and mentorship of the Program Manager and MOH staff, the intern will assist in coordinating project activities in Nairobi County. This role is designed to provide practical exposure to public health programming, disease surveillance, and immunization initiatives, while offering structured mentorship and supportive supervision.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>\tAssist in coordinating and implementing community and health facility-based CGPP project activities in line with CRS program quality principles, donor requirements, and good practices.<br \/>\n\tContribute to monitoring and reporting challenges or gaps identified, supporting adjustments to plans and schedules.<br \/>\n\tSupport accountability by assisting MOH in collecting and analyzing project data, and in preparing reports per established schedules.<br \/>\n\tProvide logistical and technical support for capacity building activities with County and Sub-County MOH staff.<br \/>\n\tAssist in project documentation, including case studies and reports on promising practices.<br \/>\n\tMaintain supportive working relations with government ministries and stakeholders to coordinate the adoption of new approaches in polio eradication.<br \/>\n\tParticipate in technical working groups and forums to stay updated on new developments in immunization and disease surveillance.<\/p>\n<p>Learning Outcomes:<\/p>\n<p>By the end of the internship, the intern will:<\/p>\n<p>\tGain practical experience in public health programming and project coordination.<br \/>\n\tDevelop skills in disease surveillance, immunization program support, and community mobilization.<br \/>\n\tStrengthen understanding of the Government of Kenya&#8217;s health policies and guidelines.<br \/>\n\tEnhance capacity in project monitoring, reporting, and documentation.<br \/>\n\tBuild professional networks with MOH staff, CRS teams, and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>Key Working Relationships:<\/p>\n<p>\tInternal:\u00a0Health team Project Lead, Program Manager &#8211; Health, CGPP HOA Staff, CRS MEAL, and Finance teams<br \/>\n\tExternal:\u00a0CGPP Secretariat members, GoK (Nairobi County) staff, polio project stakeholders, community members<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>Education and Experience:<\/p>\n<p>\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, or related field.<br \/>\n\tExposure to disease surveillance, immunization programs, or community mobilization through coursework, attachment, or volunteer experience will be an added advantage.<br \/>\n\tExperience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).<\/p>\n<p>Apply Through:<\/p>\n<p>eipn.fa.us2.oraclecloud.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/eipn.fa.us2.oraclecloud.com","_company_name":"Catholic Relief","_company_website":"http:\/\/www.crs.org\/","_company_tagline":"Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is an international non-governmental organization supporting relief and development work in over 99 countries around the world.
