About the Role<\/p>\n
Cigna is undergoing a major global Agile transformation with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) as a core delivery model. This role is part of the IOH Platform Team, responsible for building and evolving internal platforms, shared services, and tooling that enable product teams to deliver reliably, efficiently, and at scale.<\/p>\n
You will work within a self\u2011organized, cross\u2011functional platform team embedded in the IOH Agile Release Train (ART), supporting a predominantly on\u2011premises Windows Server environment while contributing to a pragmatic evolution toward hybrid and cloud\u2011based solutions.<\/p>\n
What You\u2019ll Do<\/p>\n
Platform & Technical Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tDesign, build, and maintain shared platforms, services, and tooling used by multiple IOH product teams
\n\tPartner with product and delivery teams to understand operational challenges and translate them into reusable platform capabilities
\n\tEnable team\u2011owned delivery by providing paved roads, golden paths, and technical standards
\n\tOwn platform components end\u2011to\u2011end, including architecture, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
\n\tSupport and enhance on\u2011premises infrastructure and deployment models within Cigna data centers (primarily Windows Server\u2011based)
\n\tContribute to the evolution toward hybrid and cloud architectures in a pragmatic, value\u2011driven manner
\n\tApply DevOps and GitOps principles to improve automation, reliability, and consistency<\/p>\n
DevOps & Enablement (in collaboration with the DevOps Center of Excellence)<\/p>\n
\tBuild and refine CI\/CD proof\u2011of\u2011concepts and mature them into standardized solutions
\n\tDefine and promote technical standards, patterns, and best practices
\n\tDocument solutions and support adoption through training and enablement
\n\tExperiment with and mature AI\u2011assisted development and DevOps tooling<\/p>\n
Agile \/ SAFe Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tActively participate as a team member within a SAFe Agile Release Train
\n\tContribute to PI objectives and ART\u2011level priorities
\n\tParticipate in PI Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Inspect & Adapt events
\n\tCollaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, Architects, Security, and Operations teams
\n\tEmbrace continuous improvement and fast feedback loops<\/p>\n

Your Profile<\/p>\n
General<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in IT, or equivalent experience
\n\tMinimum 5 -7 years of relevant experience
\n\tExperience working in Agile environments; SAFe experience is a strong plus
\n\tStrong analytical, organizational, and problem\u2011solving skills
\n\tComfortable with ambiguity and evolving priorities
\n\tStrong collaboration and communication skills
\n\tFluent English (spoken and written)<\/p>\n
Essential Technical Skills<\/p>\n
\tStrong .NET development background
\n\tExperience operating in on\u2011premises environments (Windows Server preferred)
\n\tUnderstanding of application deployment and runtime management on virtual machines
\n\tSolid backend architecture and system design skills
\n\tExperience with Git\u2011based version control<\/p>\n
Highly Valued Experience<\/p>\n
\tDevOps practices and tooling (CI\/CD, automation)
\n\tGitOps and\u00a0infrastructure\u2011as\u2011code\u00a0approaches
\n\tMicrosoft Azure or other cloud platforms
