Job Description:<\/p>\n
\tAs a Day Technician at Mars, you will be responsible for the execution of planned maintenance of assets and the continuous improvement of our gum processing and packaging functions. You will work to proactively ensure the reliability of plant equipment by executing preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, and identifying energy-saving opportunities. In this role, you will also be a key partner in upholding our Quality, Food Safety, Health, and Environmental standards.<\/p>\n
What are we looking for?<\/p>\n
\tA Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
\n\tA minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance systems within an industrial setting, with outstanding troubleshooting and technical aptitude.
\n\tThe ability to read and interpret drawings\/schematics and apply this knowledge to operate, inspect, maintain, and repair complex mechanical systems.
\n\tFamiliarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
\n\tAn organized, self-disciplined, and motivated individual who can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
\n\tExcellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n
What would be your key responsibilities?<\/p>\n
\tExecute 100% of assigned planned maintenance activities, including lubrication and inspection tasks, to ensure plant reliability.
\n\tLead troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues, using problem-solving tools to find and standardize solutions.
\n\tOwn the Defect Management and Breakdown Elimination Daily Management Systems (DMS).
\n\tBuild technical capability by coaching, training, and mentoring peers and production line associates.
\n\tCollaborate with project engineers to identify and implement improvements in our processes.
\n\tEffectively manage the area maintenance budget and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings.<\/p>\n
