Key responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tPost daily accounting entries including journals, accruals, and adjustments under supervision by the Senior Accountant.
\n\tEnsure proper documentation and filing of all accounting records
\n\tProcess supplier invoices, ensuring accurate three\u2011way matching before posting into the ERP system.
\n\tAssist in performing payment runs under supervision by the Senior Accountant
\n\tReconcile supplier and customer accounts and assist in resolving discrepancies
\n\tPerform bank reconciliations as assigned by the Senior Accountant
\n\tRecord cash, bank, and petty cash transactions
\n\tAssist in preparing monthly reporting packs and cash flow forecast\/ information
\n\tSupport month\u2011end and year\u2011end closing activities and reporting
\n\tAssist in preparing audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
\n\tSupport filing of tax returns and compliance (e.g. PAYE, VAT, SHA\/SHIF, NSSF and any other relevant levies)
\n\tAssist in preparation of cost reports to facilitate accurate product costing
\n\tEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards
\n\tSupport external and internal audit processes
\n\tMaintain well\u2011organised physical and electronic financial records
\n\tSupport budgeting, forecasting, and stock count processes
\n\tPerform other finance\u2011related tasks as assigned by the Senior Accountant
\n\tSupport the integration agenda being implemented by the company<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements:<\/p>\n
\tDegree in Financial\/Management Accounting or B.com Accounting\/ Costing degree or equivalent qualification
\n\t0-2 years\u2019 relevant experience as an Accountant
\n\tPartially\/fully qualified in CPA\/ACCA
\n\tSolid understanding of basic accounting principles and Excel.
\n\tBasic knowledge or exposure to SAP Business One (SAP B1) or any other ERP system is a strong advantage.
\n\tStrong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude.
\n\tHigh degree of accuracy & strong numeric skills
\n\tAbility to prioritize workload, resources and manage time
\n\tStrong adherence and awareness of internal controls
\n\tResults oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
\n\tAbility to identify and resolve problems and put forward recommendations
