Job Purpose<\/p>\n
\tEnsuring students\u2019 success and helping them reach their full potential by implementing the\u00a0SABIS\u00ae\u00a0curriculum and philosophy and through the consistent use of the\u00a0SABIS\u00ae\u00a0teaching methods.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tPlan and deliver high quality swimming lessons to students of varying age groups and skill levels
\n\tEnsure student safety and provide close supervision during all swimming sessions
\n\tTrack and assess student progress, providing feedback to learners and guardians as needed
\n\tPrepare students for internal assessments and competitive swimming meets
\n\tPromote discipline, water safety and enjoyment of aquatic activities
\n\tDiscuss disciplinary and student performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and Head of Department (HOD) as needed
\n\tProctor exams as needed while ensuring an adequate and properly managed test environment
\n\tProvide support for the low-performing students through guidance and motivation to help them improve and reach their full potential
\n\tDevelop and\/or follow up on external exams preparation by going through previous exams as planned in the structured revision schedule (when applicable to specific grade levels)
\n\tAid in duties that may include testing students, substituting for absent teachers, organizing students for lunches and buses, controlling traffic (vehicles and people), and other administrative duties as assigned by the school management
\n\tPrepare and participate in activity plans related to student life events such as but not limited to art, open houses, and physical education, in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator (SLC)
\n\tAttend training sessions when needed and as requested by the school management in order to enhance the understanding of the\u00a0SABIS\u00ae\u00a0system and improve the overall performance of students
\n\tPerform other related tasks or projects as they arise and as delegated by the school management<\/p>\n
Ideal Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in a related subject matter and\/or equivalent
\n\tEnglish Proficient
\n\tA minimum of 3 years of experience teaching swimming
\n\tProven swimming proficiency in all four strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly)
\n\tSwimming Certification from a recognized body
\n\tRegistration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC)
\n\tValid First Aid and CPR certification (lifeguard certification is an added advantage)
\n\tExcellent communication skills
\n\tTraining in safeguarding and child protection
\n\tFlexible, energetic, and a team player with a passion for education and wellness<\/p>\n
