Under the guidance of the General Manager-Finance, the Procurement Manager is responsible for the effective delivery of procurement services to the company in line with the Company\u2019s\u00a0 procurement rules and ensuring the department is synchronized to meet the organizations needs<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tManage stock levels and identify purchasing needs in coordination with the Assistant Purchasing Manager and Procurement Officer and the stores department
\n\tDevelop and implement the company\u2019s annual procurement work plans and in line with the Strategic objective of the department.
\n\tResearch potential vendors
\n\tTrack orders and ensure timely delivery in coordination with the department\u00a0
\n\tEnsure\u00a0Continuous update of internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts etc)
\n\tEvaluate offers from vendors and submit proposals for final approval
\n\tManage the administrative process throughout the duration of the preparation of all documentation until the award of the work
\n\tParticipate in drafting and managing contracts to ensure timely delivery of goods, services and works and value for money.
\n\tPrepare documents and reports for procurement committee
\n\tEnsure that all procurement documents are well filed and securely stored
\n\tRespond to audit queries and ensure that issues raised in audit reports are addressed and closed out in a timely manner.
\n\tFollow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
\n\tLiaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
\n\tEnsure all procurement related KPI\u2019S, practices and policies are adhered to and compliance by the whole department\u00a0
\n\tUndertaking research, surveys and analysis of supply market
\n\t\u00a0Undertake day to day procurement activities including solicitation of quotations locally for low value items, quotation analysis & bid evaluation and making recommendations for proposal approval.
\n\tCoordinate with users and make sure the right materials needed are properly specified in the requisitions. Find out the sample of material to be purchased if necessary
\n\tStrategic management of procurement activities in line with the Company\u2019s Strategic Plan
\n\tPerform other duties related to the field as may be assigned<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tA Degree in purchasing and supplies management, supply chain management or procurement and contract management from a recognized and accredited institution.
\n\tMust be a member of professional body either KISM or CIPS in good standing.
\n\tProfessional qualification in Procurement such as CIPS-UK or CPSP-K
\n\tValid practising license from KISM
\n\tExperience:\u00a0Minimum 5 years in a busy procurement environment\/office preferably in a manufacturing set up either in private or public sector.<\/p>\n
