Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tInstall, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including MV & LV components, fuses, lights, and wiring.
\n\tInspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components.
\n\tPerform all work in compliance with electrical codes, blueprints, and standards applicable in Kenya.
\n\tTest electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning.
\n\tComplete required documentation of repairs and service information.
\n\tEnsure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts.
\n\tEnsure electrical system maintenance equipment is calibrated to provided specifications.
\n\tPerform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components.
\n\tTroubleshoot problems and make timely repairs.
\n\tLiaise and coordinate between the delivery team, contractors, sub\u2011contractors, project managers, and third\u2011party suppliers.
\n\tEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, other departments, consultants, and customers. Respond to requests for information and meet commitments within reasonable timeframes.
\n\tPerform other duties as assigned (e.g., assist other departments as needed; participate in required training as applicable).
\n\tProvide accurate, insightful, and timely reports, memos, and presentations as requested by management.
\n\tEnsure company policies and procedures are followed by team members.<\/p>\n
Skills and Experience<\/p>\n
\tMust be authorized to operate high\u2011voltage equipment by a licensed utility or regulatory operator (e.g., KPLC, KETRACO, EPRA).
\n\tMust hold a valid\u00a0C1 EPRA License\u00a0and\u00a0KETRACO or KPLC authorization classes.
\n\tMinimum of\u00a05+ years\u2019 experience\u00a0in electrical grid operations, maintenance, or related field.
\n\tStrong knowledge of MV & LV systems and compliance with Kenyan electrical standards.
\n\tProven ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance electrical systems.
\n\tExcellent communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.<\/p>\n
