We are looking for a live-in trained and experienced female Private Family Cook to join a high-end household in Runda, Nairobi.<\/p>\n
This role goes beyond cooking. The successful candidate will be responsible for full kitchen management, including meal planning, food preparation, organization, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.<\/p>\n
About the Role:<\/p>\n
The ideal candidate must be versatile, creative, and able to prepare a variety of meals for both adults and young children. The role requires consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a structured home environment.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDaily meal preparation (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
\n\tPlanning balanced, varied, and creative menus.
\n\tPreparing healthy, engaging meals for toddlers and children.
\n\tAbility to cook both local and international cuisines.
\n\tFull kitchen management: cleanliness, organization, and maintenance.
\n\tPantry and food inventory management (tracking stock and reporting shortages).
\n\tProper food storage and minimizing waste.
\n\tPreparing meals for both small family settings and larger gatherings when required<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tFormal culinary training or certification (required).
\n\tMinimum 2\u20133 years\u2019 experience as a private cook or in a professional kitchen.
\n\tMust have a valid certificate of good conduct.
\n\tStrong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
\n\tAbility to prepare both local and international cuisines.
\n\tCreativity in meal preparation, especially for children.
\n\tAbility to plan menus independently and manage a kitchen efficiently.
\n\tHigh standards of cleanliness and organization.
\n\tResponsible, disciplined, and able to follow structured routines<\/p>\n
