Job Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tPerform professional clothing alteration, repair, and tailoring services to meet customer needs and satisfaction.
\n\tExecute a range of alteration services, including resizing, hemming, mending, replacing buttons, and other garment adjustments.
\n\tMeasure and fit garments for clients efficiently and accurately to ensure precision in tailoring.
\n\tRepair and restore damaged or worn clothing, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
\n\tHandle a variety of fabrics and garment types, including uniforms, specialty clothing, and personal garments, while using appropriate tailoring techniques.
\n\tOperate and maintain sewing machines, irons, and other tailoring tools and equipment accurately and safely.
\n\tMaintain a clean and organized work area to ensure the efficient completion of tasks.
\n\tProvide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, providing tailoring advice, and ensuring client satisfaction with their orders.
\n\tPrioritize tasks and meet deadlines to accommodate the tailoring and alteration schedule for customers.
\n\tFollow established procedures and policies as required, including maintaining records of completed work and garment inventory.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of one (1) year of professional experience in clothing alteration, repair, and tailoring services.
\n\tHigh school diploma or equivalent.
\n\tProficient in the use of sewing machines, irons, and common tailoring tools.
\n\tStrong understanding of garment construction, sewing techniques, and fabric properties.
\n\tAttention to detail and ability to work with precision, ensuring high-quality alterations and repairs.
\n\tStrong customer service and communication skills, with proficiency in English for both written and verbal communication.
\n\tMust be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
\n\tPassport should be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
\n\tAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for the duration of deployment.
\n\tMust be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials\/authorization.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Preferred Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tPrior experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce is preferred.
\n\tValid country driver\u2019s license and passport.
\n\tCountry visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).
\n\tExperience tailoring uniforms and specialty garments in a military or government setting.
\n\tFamiliarity with tailoring specific to military dress standards and requirements.
\n\tKnowledge of maintaining and repairing sewing equipment.<\/p>\n
