Roles & Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tPerforms charging of Electric buses in accordance with charging guidelines, requirements and BasiGo policy and procedures.
\n\tPerforms interior and exterior\u00a0 Electric bus Inspection in accordance with BasiGo Standard Operating Procedures.
\n\tPerforms minor basic inspections of the electric bus internal and external bus lighting systems, vehicle safety equipment, horn, windshield wipers, mirrors and lights.
\n\tReports on defects and\/or symptoms of impending failure as identified through minor inspections or as reported by the drivers and conductors.\u00a0
\n\tIdentifies and reports to the Vehicle Service and Customer Experience teams on any maintenance and\/or repairs found necessary on the charging infrastructure and all BasiGo Assets.
\n\tRecords bus check-in\/ check-out and all other parameters, including parts used and repairs and\/or maintenance conducted on appropriate company form(s).
\n\tCommit to working safely based on OSHA and BasiGo standards to avoid personal injuries.
\n\tMaintains a safe, clean, productive and efficient work area including ensuring the work area is in compliance with all relevant guidelines and requirements as well as BasiGo standards.<\/p>\n
Our ideal candidate would have:<\/p>\n
\tDiploma in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
\n\tA valid driving licence would be desirable.
\n\tFlexibility to work based on the demands of the business, which require working shifts, i.e. evenings and weekends.
\n\tBasic operations understanding, including fundamental computer knowledge and communication skills.\u00a0
\n\tGood interpersonal skills witha\u00a0 good command of spoken English and Kiswahili
\n\tPhysical work \u2013 the role involves lots of physical work and movement, so the suitable candidate must be physically fit.
\n\tStrong team player who is ready to collaborate and achieve the best result for the team.<\/p>\n

\tEnterprising, self-starter who is adaptable to the changing dynamics of a start-up business.
\n\tDetail-oriented, resourceful, diligent, and able to operate independently with limited supervision (completing assigned work accurately and in a timely manner).
\n\tPhysical and Environmental Demands include but are not limited to the following: lifting, bending, climbing, kneeling, reaching, sitting, standing, working from ladders, walking, confined quarters, excessive noise, and high voltage.<\/p>\n
