This is a middle level in this cadre in the University and appointment shall be on such terms and conditions as may be determined by the Council from time to time depending on age, citizenship or any other reason as may be stipulated in the Kenyan Labour Laws<\/p>\n
Academic Qualification<\/p>\n
\tThe candidate must have a Diploma in Gross Anatomy and Higher National Diploma in Gross Anatomy or Mortuary\/Mortician Services or equivalent from recognized institution.<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tBe a member of relevant professional bodies
\n\tMust have two (2) years of relevant work experience
\n\tWorked in a higher institution of learning will be an added advantage
\n\tDemonstrate community involvement (e.g. Member of BOG, SMC etc)<\/p>\n
In addition, the candidate should have experience in the following;<\/p>\n
\tAssist and train students on collecting, processing and preservation of samples in the field and laboratory
\n\tAssist Gross Anatomy lecturer in practical demonstrations
\n\tMaintain the Gross Anatomy laboratory.
\n\tAssist Gross Anatomy demonstrator in teaching and grading duties for Gross Anatomy practicals.
\n\tAssist in preparation of reagents, preservative solutions, samples and specimen for practical classes and examinations.
\n\tAssembling supplies and constructing apparatus, setting up and assisting in conducting classroom experiments and demonstrations.
\n\tSetting up OSCE and viva voce sessions for Gross Anatomy assessments
\n\tProvide technical assistance to researchers.
\n\tPrepare and implement the use of SOPs in the laboratory.
\n\tAssist in budget preparation.
\n\tKeep an updated inventory for consumables and non-consumables.
\n\tTrouble shooting for machine errors, general maintenance and internal calibration
\n\tParticipate in quality management systems in the laboratory.
\n\tStorage of supplies and equipment; disposing of solutions, used samples and specimen according to guidelines; and keeping storerooms and working areas orderly and clean.
\n\tResource Mobilization e.g. Infrastructure grants, equipment grants, scholarships for students.<\/p>\n
