{"id":95835,"date":"2026-05-08T16:02:23","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T16:02:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/kenya\/job\/procurement-officer-path-kenya-nuru-ya-mtoto\/"},"modified":"2026-05-08T16:03:13","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T16:03:13","slug":"procurement-officer-path-kenya-nuru-ya-mtoto","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/kenya\/job\/procurement-officer-path-kenya-nuru-ya-mtoto\/","title":{"rendered":"Procurement Officer, PATH Kenya, Nuru ya Mtoto"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Summary<\/p>\n<p>PATH Kenya through Nuru Ya Mtoto Project seeks to recruit a\u00a0procurement officer who will oversee the project\u2019s strategic and day to day supply chain processes. \u00a0Under the supervision of the finance and administration Manager, the successful candidate will ensure that the project\u2019s required goods and services are efficiently and effectively procured in addition to continuously identifying, designing, and implementing innovative approaches that maximizes \u00a0value to the project\u2019s supply chain management cycle.<\/p>\n<p>Location: Kisumu Sub- Office<\/p>\n<p>Job Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>\tCarry out procurement processes in line with the PATH laid down policies as well as donor regulations and the laws of the land and be a lead custodian of these policies and regulations.<br \/>\n\tPrepare formal invitations for bids and requests for quotations, including required special terms and conditions, performance, and technical criteria.<br \/>\n\tRoutinely sensitize the project staff on procurement processes.<br \/>\n\tSit in procurement review committee meetings and take minutes of the deliberations.<br \/>\n\tTrack orders and confirm system lead times, delivery dates, and costs.<br \/>\n\tConduct routine vendor circularization and accounts reconciliations<br \/>\n\tPrepare weekly accurate and complete management procurement reports and any other ad hoc reports as may be required from time to time by the project management.<br \/>\n\tParticipates in developing, facilitating, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing the project\u2019s procurement plans<br \/>\n\tEnsure that all the vendors that PATH Kenya does business with are properly registered and are subjected to proper due diligence processes including Bridger checks.<br \/>\n\tIdentify opportunities and implement actions aimed at achieving efficiencies and value maximization in procurement processes.<br \/>\n\tAdvise\/update the procurement review committee on emerging issues\/trends on procurement\u00a0<br \/>\n\tEnsure that invoices are properly supported before any payment consideration<br \/>\n\tFacilitate good mutual business relationships with suppliers\/vendors.<br \/>\n\tMaintain accurate, up to date and complete records in required formats for all procurement transactions.<br \/>\n\tPerform any other relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time.<\/p>\n<p>Key Competencies required:<\/p>\n<p>\tPartnership<br \/>\n\tAccountability<br \/>\n\tStrong negotiation skills<br \/>\n\tIntegrity<br \/>\n\tCommunication\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Typical Background, Experience &amp; Requirements:<\/p>\n<p>\tA bachelor\u2019s degree in any business-related field with a specialization \/bias in procurement.<br \/>\n\tUp to date KISM membership.<br \/>\n\tA master\u2019s degree in business administration or equivalent and CIPS qualification will be an added advantage.<br \/>\n\tA minimum of 6 years\u2019 progressive relevant experience preferably in NGO sector.<br \/>\n\tOutstanding communication skills including interpersonal communications, problem solving, strong writing skills and fluency in English with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.<br \/>\n\tExcellent report writing, presentation and minutes taking skills.<br \/>\n\tDetail oriented;
