Job Summary:<\/p>\n
The IT Assistant is responsible for supporting the hotel\u2019s day-to-day technology operations by ensuring all IT systems, networks, hardware, and software function efficiently. The role involves providing technical support to hotel staff and guests, troubleshooting system issues, maintaining IT equipment, and assisting in the smooth operation of hospitality systems including PMS, POS, internet connectivity, telephony, and CCTV systems.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Technical Support<\/p>\n
\tProvide first-level IT support to all hotel departments including Front Office, Finance, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and HR.
\n\tTroubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and network issues promptly.
\n\tAssist staff with login credentials, email access, and system usage.
\n\tSupport guests with internet connectivity and basic in-room technology issues.<\/p>\n
Systems & Network Maintenance<\/p>\n
\tMonitor and maintain hotel network systems, Wi-Fi connectivity, and internet performance.
\n\tAssist in maintaining hotel systems such as PMS, POS, key card systems, CCTV, telephony systems, and smart TVs.
\n\tInstall, configure, and update computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
\n\tConduct routine system checks and preventive maintenance.<\/p>\n
Security & Data Protection<\/p>\n
\tSupport data backup procedures and system recovery processes.
\n\tEnsure antivirus software and security patches are updated regularly.
\n\tMaintain confidentiality and security of hotel systems and information.
\n\tAssist in monitoring system access and user permissions.<\/p>\n
Event & Conference Support<\/p>\n
\tSet up and support audiovisual equipment for meetings, conferences, and events.
\n\tEnsure projectors, microphones, sound systems, and presentation equipment function properly.<\/p>\n
Inventory & Documentation<\/p>\n
\tMaintain records of IT assets, repairs, and maintenance activities.
\n\tLog and track IT support requests and resolutions.
\n\tAssist in managing IT inventory and equipment allocation.<\/p>\n
Vendor Coordination<\/p>\n
\tCoordinate with external service providers and vendors for repairs, maintenance, and installations when required.
\n\tEscalate major technical issues to the IT Manager.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tDiploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
\n\tMinimum 1\u20132 years of experience in IT support, in hospitality is a MUST
\n\tKnowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
\n\tFamiliarity with hospitality systems such as PMS and POS is an added advantage.
\n\tBasic understanding of network infrastructure, CCTV, and telephony systems.
\n\tStrong problem-solving and communication skills.
\n\tAbility to work under pressure and respond quickly to technical issues.
\n\tWillingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required.<\/p>\n
