\t\u00a0Efficiently plan transportation routes to maximize delivery efficiency, considering factors such as distance, traffic, and time constraints.
\n\tOptimize routes to minimize fuel consumption, reduce transit times, and enhance overall cost-effectiveness.
\n\tCommunicate with drivers to provide detailed instructions regarding routes, schedules, and any special delivery requirements.
\n\tMonitor driver progress and address any unforeseen challenges or deviations from the plan promptly.
\n\tUtilize transportation management systems (TMS) and tracking tools to monitor the real-time status of shipments and vehicles.
\n\tRespond swiftly to disruptions, traffic incidents, or other issues affecting the transportation schedule.
\n\tAct as a central point of contact for drivers, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
\n\tBe actively involved in and support change initiatives
\n\tPlan and utilize all internal resources to ensure maximum productivity
\n\tFacilitate effective communication to ensure everyone is informed about changes, delays, or other relevant updates.
\n\tGenerate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation efficiency.
\n\tMaintain accurate records of transportation activities, including delivery times, delays, and any incidents.
\n\tIdentify and address issues related to transportation, such as delays, vehicle breakdowns, or unexpected changes in delivery requirements.
\n\tCollaborate with drivers and relevant teams to implement effective problem-solving strategies.
\n\tWork within operating areas as determined by management and the needs of the business
\n\tGenerate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation efficiency.
\n\tCarry out duties following standard operating procedures and safe working practices.
\n\tEnsure on time delivery.<\/p>\n
About you<\/p>\n
\tRelevant University degree or Diploma in Logistics.
\n\tProven experience of 3 years in transportation dispatch, preferably within the logistics industry.
\n\tFamiliarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and route optimization software.L84
\n\tStrong communication and organizational skills.
\n\tBusiness and Commercial Acumen.
\n\tExperience in warehousing\/logistics \/ FMCG environment.
\n\tWell-organized individual and results oriented.<\/p>\n
