We are hiring a Housekeeper with cooking and cleaning duties, for a multi-generational residence in Gigiri, Nairobi. This is a live-in position that will work across two separate houses on the same plot. We are looking for individuals who are professional, well-trained, and able to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
\n\tMust like dogs, and experience with children is a plus. We hope to find someone who can be a part of our family for many years to come!
\n\tThe core role involves, on a rota across the two houses:\u00a0
\n\tCleaning = full house cleaning and maintenance, with a strong focus on detail, care, and consistency.
\n\tCooking = meal preparation and cooking.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tCooking and preparing food as required.
\n\tDaily cleaning and maintenance of assigned areas.
\n\tDeep cleaning on a scheduled basis.
\n\tLaundry: washing, ironing, folding, and proper fabric care.
\n\tDusting and care of furniture, surfaces, and delicate items.
\n\tCareful handling of valuable household items.
\n\tCleaning and maintenance of household equipment and machines.
\n\tMaintaining order, neatness, and organization throughout the home
\n\tFeeding and looking after of 2 very friendly dogs when owners are away
\n\tYou will switch between the houses so you must be able to stay on top of schedules, tasks and directions.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tFormal training in housekeeping or hospitality
\n\tMinimum 5+ years\u2019 experience in a private home, embassy, or hotel environment.
\n\tValid certificate of good conduct.
\n\tHigh attention to detail and cleanliness.
\n\tProfessional attitude and ability to follow structured routines.
\n\tHonest, responsible, and respectful.
\n\tAbility to handle valuable items with care.
\n\tAbility to work in a structured household environment with clear routines.
\n\tHigh level of personal cleanliness and presentation.
\n\tReference from a minimum of 1 previous employer required<\/p>\n

\tLove of cooking, would enjoy being sent on cooking courses to learn more
