\tManage company bank accounts and cash to minimize costs and maximize returns on idle funds.
\n\tHandle foreign currency accounts, ensuring adequate reserves while minimizing exchange losses.
\n\tEnsure adequate working capital is available without relying on overdrafts.
\n\tManage treasury functions, investing surplus funds wisely and ensuring best returns.
\n\tMaintain strong, balanced relationships with banking partners.
\n\tReview daily cash positions, focusing on company bankers as the main paying bank.
\n\tReview and follow up on bank reconciliations and ensure prompt resolution of reconciling items.
\n\tEnsure sufficient forex for supplier payments; source best exchange rates.
\n\tDeposit received cash dollars promptly and follow up on yellow vouchers and safari float accountability.
\n\tManage overseas petty cash denominated in dollars.<\/p>\n
Payments & Tax Compliance<\/p>\n
\tOversee all tax matters in liaison with tax advisors and KRA, ensuring timely payments.
\n\tAuthorize petty cash and supplier payments, ensuring adherence to payment terms and supporting documentation.
\n\tAuthorize LPOs and ensure prompt tax remittances (VAT, Withholding Tax, Instalment Tax).
\n\tLiaise with tax consultants on all tax-related matters.<\/p>\n
Costing<\/p>\n
\tEnsure weekly profit statements are prepared timely and accurately.
\n\tEnsure daily cost data is accurate and timely for management use.
\n\tOversee new product cost setups and regularly review existing product costs for pricing validity.
\n\tContinuously evaluate the production process to ensure accurate costing.<\/p>\n

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS<\/p>\n

\tBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
\n\tMaster\u2019s degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), or Strategic Management is an added advantage.
\n\tMembership in a recognized professional body (e.g., ICPAK) is preferred<\/p>\n
\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bProfessional Qualifications<\/p>\n
\t\u00a0CPA (K), ACCA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification required.<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
\n\tProven experience managing end-to-end finance operations including budgeting, reporting, treasury, costing, tax, and audit.
\n\tHands-on experience in manufacturing, agribusiness, FMCG, or related industries is strongly preferred.
\n\tDemonstrated success in improving financial systems, processes, and controls.
\n\tExperience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics).<\/p>\n

\tStrong command of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
