Role Outline<\/p>\n
\tThis is a support position to the DHL-Supply Chain Kenya Finance in delivering its roles. This role shall support providing analytical, management accounting, financial accounting, reporting and business intelligence support in ensuring smooth business support.<\/p>\n
About The Role Key Duties And Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tManagement of suppliers by ensuring timely processing of their invoices, proper approvals before approvals before booking, timely payment to allow smooth operations of the business.
\n\tTimely invoicing and preparation of client packs, invoices and credit notes and support documentation.
\n\tReconcile and verify revenue against customer billing and resolve payment issues.
\n\tDaily processing and checking of the contract’s transactional activities and ensuring all contract costs are well booked.
\n\tMonitor budgets and investigate variances.
\n\tManagement Accounting and Reporting, Financial Accounting and Analysis.
\n\tBalance sheet account updates and reconciliations of dedicated accounts.
\n\tSupport month-end and year-end closing activities including internal and external audit.
\n\tParticipate in Processing Improvement projects and initiatives.
\n\tEnsure timely inventory counts are undertaken by Operation by attending the mothly stock counts and ensuring signed off stock sheets are received and filed by Finance.
\n\tPreparation of weekly and monthly activity reports.
\n\tTactical support for the Site Manager and Commercial Controller.
\n\tIdentify inefficiencies in billing and finance processes and recommend improvements.
\n\tSupport automation initiatives and system enhancements.
\n\tOther responsibilities as delegated by the Senior Financial Accountant Kenya, Commercial controller and Finance Director East Africa.
\n\tTimely issuance of the Site PO as per actual spend and agreed contract rates.
\n\tDebt collections and update on progress to the Business unit head.
\n\tTimely and accurate invoices of contracts revenue streams.
\n\tPreparation of Debtors accounts for the contracts within the unit.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
\n\tProfessional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are an added advantage.
\n\tProficiency in Excel and financial systems.
\n\t4+year(s) work experience.
\n\tExperience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
\n\tStrong understanding of revenue recognition principles.
\n\tStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.
\n\tTeam development.
\n\tExcellent organizational and time management skills.
\n\tStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
\n\tAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
\n\tAnalytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
\n\tExperience in Transport and Warehouse Operations is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
