Job Summary:<\/p>\n
\tTo lead the growth of the trade finance and export business by driving client acquisition, structuring competitive export financing solutions, mobilizing deposits, and ensuring portfolio quality and regulatory compliance.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\u00a0Client Acquisition & Export Growth<\/p>\n
\tIdentify, source, onboard, and manage relationships with exporters across key sectors.
\n\tDrive acquisition and activation of export\/FX clients in line with business targets.
\n\tEnsure optimal utilisation of approved trade limits.<\/p>\n
Trade Finance Structuring & Revenue Generation<\/p>\n
\tLead structuring and execution of trade finance solutions including invoice financing, guarantees, LPO financing, and FX solutions.
\n\tDeliver trade finance income targets across performance bonds, bid bonds, advance\/performance guarantees, and LPO financing.
\n\tDrive FX transaction volumes and optimise yield per transaction.<\/p>\n
Deposits Mobilisation & Transactional Banking<\/p>\n
\tMobilise deposits from export clients to support liquidity and funding objectives.
\n\tGrow low-cost deposits (CASA) within the trade portfolio.
\n\tOptimise cost of funds on trade-related deposits.
\n\tIncrease fee income from transactional banking (FX, guarantees, trade flows).<\/p>\n
Portfolio Quality & Risk Management<\/p>\n
\tMaintain portfolio quality within acceptable thresholds.
\n\tEnsure early identification and resolution of arrears.
\n\tUphold high standards in credit structuring, monitoring, and reporting.
\n\tEnsure full compliance with CBK regulations and internal credit policies.<\/p>\n
Market Intelligence & Strategy<\/p>\n
\tProvide insights on exporter needs, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
\n\tIdentify opportunities to enhance product-market fit and competitiveness.<\/p>\n
Team Leadership & Performance Management<\/p>\n
\tLead and manage the trade finance\/export team to achieve targets.
\n\tDrive staff productivity (business per person).
\n\tConduct performance reviews, coaching, and capability development.
\n\tMaintain acceptable attrition levels and build a strong succession pipeline.
\n\tEnsure compliance with leave and HR policies.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
\n\tMaster\u2019s degree or professional certification (CPA, CFA, ACCA) is an added advantage
\n\tMinimum 7\u201310 years\u2019 experience in trade finance, corporate banking, or export finance
\n\tProven track record in structuring trade finance deals and managing client portfolios
\n\tStrong understanding of FX markets, trade products, and regulatory requirements<\/p>\n
