About the role<\/p>\n
\tThe Operations and Finance Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing programme operations in their respective country and fostering collaborations with the broader programme team. They will provide close guidance and support to the AMR Technical Coordinator and other programme staff in coordinating all operational and financial elements of the programme day to day.<\/p>\n
Primary\u00a0Roles\u00a0and Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAct as a key point of contact for any operational or financial concerns in respective country
\n\tLiaise and coordinate with wider team across other\u00a0programme\u00a0countries and head office management staff
\n\tEnsure adherence to and compliance with all Palladium and FCDO policies and procedures\u00a0
\n\tCoordinate\u00a0logistics\u00a0for country workshops and meetings
\n\tCoordinate all travel arrangements for relevant\u00a0programme\u00a0staff and visitors, in line with corporate and client security standards\u00a0
\n\tOversee and manage human resource requirements in country\u202f\u00a0
\n\tLead on processing of local payroll,\u00a0expenses\u00a0and all other relevant financial administration\u00a0
\n\tContribute to the tracking and logging of country operational and financial risks
\n\tManage recruitment of consultants, including onboarding and contract administration
\n\tMonitor consultant deliverables to ensure timely submission and quality compliance
\n\tProcess consultant payments in line with contractual obligations and programme financial procedures
\n\tTrack and manage the country workplan budget, ensuring expenditure aligns with allocated funds and required burn rate
\n\tMonitor and report against the Value for Money framework in line with FCDO guidelines
\n\tContribute to audit processes\u00a0
\n\tAny other duties as relevant\u00a0<\/p>\n
Key Competencies Required:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\t\u00a0Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
\n\tExperience in supporting project recruitment and HR processes
\n\tExperience in supporting project operational planning and\u00a0financial\u00a0processes
\n\tDemonstrated effective stakeholder engagement experience with strong interpersonal skills
\n\tDemonstrated strong analytical thinking and pro-active problem solving
\n\tExcellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to research information and present it concisely\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tA\u00a0bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting\/ finance\/ business administration, or\u00a0a related\u00a0field.
\n\tStrong computer skills with advanced\u00a0proficiency\u00a0in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
\n\tFamiliarity with Cost Point software is highly desirable.\u00a0
\n\tExperience working with donor funded projects\u00a0(e.g.\u00a0FCDO, USAID, UN) is highly desirable. Strong understanding of donor compliance requirements and financial reporting standards.<\/p>\n
