\tThe Regenerative Agriculture Lead\u00a0is responsible for\u00a0developing and scaling regenerative agriculture initiatives across coffee-growing communities within Kenyacof supply chains. The role focuses on improving soil health, biodiversity, farmer livelihoods, climate resilience, and long-term coffee sustainability through regenerative farming practices, while working closely with agronomy, sustainability, sourcing, and farmer support teams to support\u00a0Sucafina\u2019s\u00a0sustainability and responsible sourcing goals.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tLead and mentor agronomy teams\u00a0to deliver farmer support programs aligned with regenerative agriculture and sustainability\u00a0objectives.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tConduct soil analysis and soil health management\u00a0by providing tailored nutrient management recommendations to improve farm productivity and resilience.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tDesign and implement regenerative agriculture practices\u00a0including composting and sustainable soil amendment strategies across coffee supply chains.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tManage revolving fund programs\u00a0through coordination of agricultural input distribution, farmer adoption tracking, and recovery reporting to ensure accountability and impact.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tOversee sustainable waste and wastewater management initiatives\u00a0to promote circular economy practices at wet mills.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tLead sustainability certification compliance\u00a0for programs including Rainforest Alliance, C.A.F.E. Practices, IMPACT, and Fairtrade standards.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tDeliver farmer training and capacity building\u00a0on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), regenerative agriculture, climate-smart farming, financial literacy, and farm business management.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tProvide field-based agronomy support\u00a0through regular farm visits and guidance on responsible agrochemical and fertilizer use.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tDemo Plots:\u00a0Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of demonstration plots to\u00a0showcase\u00a0and\u00a0validate\u00a0the effectiveness of new and existing regenerative agriculture practices, including inputs, soil amendments, soil rejuvenation techniques, and crop varieties.\u00a0
\n\tPromote gender equity and youth inclusion\u00a0through farmer group development, entrepreneurship training, and income diversification initiatives.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tLead sustainability data collection and reporting\u00a0including carbon mapping, certification monitoring, and impact tracking to support evidence-based decision-making.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tSupport broader sustainability and regenerative agriculture initiatives\u00a0as assigned.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Soil Science, Sustainable Agriculture, or a related field.\u00a0
\n\t5\u20137 years\u2019 experience in regenerative agriculture, agronomy, sustainability, or agricultural extension, preferably within the coffee value chain.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tProven experience leading agronomy teams and implementing farmer support and regenerative agriculture programs.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tExperience working with smallholder farmers, cooperatives, and sustainability certification programs including Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, and C.A.F.E. Practices.\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tStrong background in soil health management, climate-smart agriculture, farmer training, and sustainability reporting.\u00a0<\/p>\n
