\tThis position is responsible for teaching and supervision of postgraduate and undergraduate students as\u00a0well as undertaking research that influences theory and practice in a given field. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\nThe Senior Lecturer responsibilities shall include:-\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tUndertake teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.\u00a0
\n\tUndertake research and produce publications or other research outputs.\u00a0
\n\tSupervise undergraduate and postgraduate research.\u00a0
\n\tParticipate in curriculum development and review.\u00a0
\n\tExamination preparation, administration and management.\u00a0
\n\tParticipate in administration and management of departmental programmes and activities.\u00a0
\n\tDevelop learning materials.\u00a0
\n\tUndertake community outreach activities.\u00a0
\n\tAttract research and development funds.\u00a0
\n\tParticipate in the development and review of academic programmes.\u00a0
\n\tGuide and counsel students.\u00a0
\n\tWhere appropriate provide leadership in the department or school.\u00a0
\n\tAttending and participating in research conferences and seminars.\u00a0
\n\tPerform any other related duty assigned from time to time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\nMinimum requirements:-\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAn earned PhD in a relevant area from an accredited and recognized University\u00a0
\n\tAn earned Masters from an accredited and recognized University.(For Medicine, Clinical Medicine, Engineering and Software Engineering);\u00a0
\n\tAt least three (3) years teaching experience since last appointment as Lecturer OR Six (6) years\u00a0in Industry;\u00a0
\n\tAt least thirty two (32) equivalent publication points of which at least sixteen(16) should be from\u00a0credible refereed journals articles OR equivalent scholarly outputs since attainment of Lecturer;\u00a0
\n\tAt least three (3) post graduate students supervised to completion since last appointment as\u00a0
\n\tLecturer OR For Medicine, Clinical Medicine, Engineering and Software Engineering, at least\u00a0one (1) Post-graduate student to completion and two (2) in progress at the level of successful\u00a0defense of proposal at the Graduate School;\u00a0
\n\tBe registered with relevant professional body where applicable and in good standing;\u00a0
\n\tEvidence of active Community Outreach \/Engagement; and\u00a0
\n\tRelevant knowledge, skills and competencies.<\/p>\n
