Role Description<\/p>\n
\tThis is an on-site, part-time role for an Accountant based in Kisumu. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. Key responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, supporting payroll activities, preparing financial forecasts, and providing input for budgeting processes. Regular collaboration with management and other stakeholders is necessary to ensure transparency and support decision-making within the organization.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tProficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial forecasting
\n\tStrong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
\n\tExperience with accounting software systems and excellent Microsoft Excel skills
\n\tStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
\n\tFamiliarity with financial regulations, compliance, and auditing practices
\n\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
\n\tCPA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred
\n\tPrior experience in nonprofit or community-based organizations is a plus
\n\tExperience working with ERP systems or accounting automation is an added advantage.
