Job Overview\/Summary:<\/p>\n
\tReporting to the Senior Director, Internal Audit, the Senior Manager, Internal Audit (Finance) will design and lead audit programs with a strong focus on financial controls, compliance, and risk mitigation. This role provides independent, objective assurance that helps the organization operate with transparency, accountability, and integrity, particularly in financial operations and reporting.
\n\tThe Manager Internal Audit will not only strive to provide the highest level of professional service but also maintain the highest ethical standards and due professional care in their work.<\/p>\n
Major Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tLead the design and execution of dynamic, risk-based audit programs with a strong emphasis on financial controls, compliance, and accuracy.
\n\tDevelop and execute long term assignments in a timely manner.
\n\tProvide strategic insights from audit findings to support management decision-making and organizational performance.
\n\tCommunicate complex issues clearly to senior stakeholders.
\n\tBuild cross-functional consensus across departments to strengthen internal controls and financial accountability.
\n\tGuide financial audits practices for audit team members, fostering a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
\n\tReview audit work for quality, consistency, and financial accuracy, ensuring adherence to professional standards.
\n\tMonitor and validate the implementation of management\u2019s corrective action plans (CAPs) to address financial and operational deficiencies.
\n\tContinuously improve audit processes through the adoption of new tools, techniques, and data-driven approaches.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Job Requirements:<\/p>\n
Education:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in accounting, finance or a business-related field.<\/p>\n
Certificates or Licenses:<\/p>\n
\tCPA\/CA, CIA, or CFE (may be acquired within 2 years of hire date)<\/p>\n
Work Experience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 7 years of financial audit or financial management experience
\n\tExperience working in the Not-for-Profit or INGO sectors or grant supported organizations<\/p>\n
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:<\/p>\n
\tGenerally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
\n\tProject Management
\n\tData Analysis and Financial Analytics
\n\tCommunications \u2013 Written and Oral English
\n\tCOSO Internal Control Framework
\n\tRisk Management Principles and Techniques
\n\tAuditing Principles and Techniques
\n\tKnowledge of IRC Business Processes and Financial Systems is a plus
\n\tMS365 Office Tools (Excel, PowerBI, SharePoint)<\/p>\n
Working Environment:<\/p>\n
\tFor U.S candidates only: this remote position is open to candidates anywhere in the U.S., but they must work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
