Ensure the Branch attains high standards of Customer Service and customer Retention and excellent compliance with internal and local regulations. Develop and maintain critical relationships at the Branch to enhance business Development. Be a marketing champion for the products and services of VisionFund Kenya MFI within the area coverage.<\/p>\n<p>Key responsibilities and weighting (tasks &amp; outputs)<\/p>\n<p>Credit Risk &amp; Operational Compliance \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tImplements policies, procedures, and internal controls at the branch<br \/>\n\tOversee accurate client assessments, credit appraisals, and loan approvals.<br \/>\n\tConduct regular credit committee meetings and loan quality reviews.<br \/>\n\tMonitor field activities, delinquency trends, and enforce early recovery strategies.<br \/>\n\tEnsure adherence to regulatory and institutional policies including Know Your Customer \u00a0 (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and data privacy.<br \/>\n\tPrepare for internal and external audits; close 85% of issues within 90 days \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Branch staff Supervision &amp;Development \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\t\u00a0Planning the Branch staffing and Evaluating existing staff in accordance with management decisions\/directions;<br \/>\n\t\u00a0Ensures that the branch staff maintains very high morale, and identifies capacity building\/training needs.<br \/>\n\t\u00a0Undertakes periodic performance appraisals and staff development plans.<br \/>\n\t\u00a0Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and productivity assessments for staff.<br \/>\n\t\u00a0Identify and mentor at least one high-potential team member per year.<br \/>\n\t\u00a0Implement action plans from \u201cOur Voice\u201d staff engagement surveys.<br \/>\n\t\u00a0Support staff wellness, disciplinary procedures, and HR compliance.<br \/>\n\t\u00a0Achieve staff retention rate of 90% or higher.<\/p>\n<p>Financial Performance &amp; Growth \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tAchieve branch disbursement, client acquisition, collection, and profitability targets.<br \/>\n\tMaintain Portfolio at Risk (PAR &gt; 1 day) below 5% and ensure write-offs are minimized.<br \/>\n\tLead local business development initiatives, including marketing and community outreach.<br \/>\n\tPromote financial inclusion by growing new clients and retaining at least 90% of existing ones.<br \/>\n\tEnsure timely turnaround for loan applications and approvals to maintain efficiency. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Digital Tools Utilization\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure full usage of the core banking system, digital field applications, and MIS platforms.<br \/>\n\tMonitor loan origination, disbursement, and collections through system dashboards.<br \/>\n\tTrain staff and clients on using digital channels to enhance efficiency and access. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\n\tBranch efficiency and awareness of digital platforms<\/p>\n<p>Planning \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tDevelop the branch business plan and annual work plans and submit the plan for further deliberations at the wider Operations team<br \/>\n\tProposes adjustments to the branch business plan and initiates proactive approaches for branch growth.<br \/>\n\tMaintain strong relationships with clients, local leaders, faith institutions, and strategic partners.<br \/>\n\tSupport implementation of partnerships and ensure compliance with MOU deliverables.<br \/>\n\tRepresent the branch in community events and institutional forums as required.<\/p>\n<p>Sales &amp;Marketing \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tSubmit timely and accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly branch reports.<br \/>\n\tMonitor market trends and provide intelligence on customer behavior, competition, and product relevance<br \/>\n\t\u201cChampions\u201d the branch expansion in new markets within the branch\u2019s area of coverage;<br \/>\n\tImplements a customer-driven branch approach<br \/>\n\tProposing and facilitating market research and survey activities<br \/>\n\tSales Empowerment to branch staff. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\n\tCustomer Experience &amp; Responsible Lending, Reporting and communication\u00a0<br \/>\n\tUphold client protection principles and Safeguarding Protocols in all client interactions.<br \/>\n\tOrganize and oversee client trainings in financial literacy and responsible borrowing.<br \/>\n\tImplement Empowered Worldview (EWV) and group engagement sessions to build loyalty and impact<br \/>\n\tWorks with other management members of VisionFund Kenya MFI;\u00a0<br \/>\n\tRequests and submits readily performance and financial reports<br \/>\n\tAttends monthly Relationship Managers meetings, engages in team problem-solving, and works together on overlapping tasks.<br \/>\n\tProvides backup support to the other branches and head office as needed<br \/>\n\tCommunicate with staff on organizational changes \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0And any other duties that the Regional Manager may assign from time to time \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications &amp;
