YOUR IMPACT<\/p>\n
\tYou will lead the financial management of a high-impact FCDO-funded programme, ensuring strong financial control, accurate reporting, and effective budgeting to support program delivery.
\n\tYou will own core finance responsibilities for Manufacturing Africa (MA), including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance with donor requirements. This includes preparing and managing annual budgets, tracking spend against forecasts, leading monthly financial reporting and variance analysis, budgeting and planning call down studies, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of invoicing and fund drawdowns. You will work closely with McKinsey Development Partners\u2019 (MDP) Finance Lead and program leadership to maintain robust financial oversight and ensure alignment with internal and client requirements.
\n\tYou will also support financial planning and decision-making by providing clear insights and analysis to the Team Leader and program leadership, helping to optimize resource allocation and program performance.
\n\tIn addition, you may provide selective, ad-hoc support to the Team Leader on operational or strategic priorities (e.g., financial inputs to proposals, special analysis, or reporting requests), while maintaining a primary focus on finance delivery.
\n\tYour work will directly enable the effective deployment of funding to catalyze manufacturing investment across Africa, supporting job creation and economic growth.
\n\tYou will be based in an Africa office as part of the Manufacturing Africa program team within our Social, Healthcare and Public Entities (SHaPE) practice.<\/p>\n

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent work experience required in a financial management field
\n\t8+ years of corporate and\/or professional services experience
\n\tStrong financial management capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis
\n\tExperience working with donor funding requirements (ideally FCDO or similar), including compliance, reporting, and audit processes is preferred
\n\tAdvanced Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint
\n\tHigh attention to detail and strong ownership of accuracy and quality of outputs
\n\tAbility to synthesize financial data into clear insights for senior stakeholders
\n\tProven ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
\n\tHigh level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information
\n\tAbility to work in-person (team schedules and office locations may vary)
\n\tAbility to operate office equipment
\n\tStrong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams<\/p>\n
