JOB SUMMARY\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tThe Project Manager is responsible for leading a cross departmental team to fulfill project goals and objectives. This position is responsible for managing risk, quality and progress of projects to organizational standards, and ensures projects are completed on time, on budget, to quality standards, and within agreed scope. The projects will tend to be medium to high complex in nature, has multi-department to enterprise-wide impact, and require a medium to large body of project resources.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tDefine project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
\n\tEffectively, communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
\n\tLiaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
\n\tSet and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
\n\tPlan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
\n\tTrack project milestones and deliverables.
\n\tDetermine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
\n\tDefine project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
\n\tConduct project postmortems (i.e. lessons learned) and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
\n\tEstimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
\n\tDraft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
\n\tWhere required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required staff time.
\n\tDetermine and assess need for additional staff and\/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitment if necessary, during project cycle.
\n\tDirect and manage project development from beginning to end.
\n\tDevelop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
\n\tDelegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate project team members and staff.
\n\tIdentify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
\n\tIdentify and manage project dependencies and critical path
\n\tDevelop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
\n\tProactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
\n\tCoach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
\n\tBuild, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.<\/p>\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tTypically, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
\n\tMaster of Business Administration is preferred
\n\t7+ years hands on experience in leading medium to highly complex department and\/or enterprise projects spanning across multi-disciplined areas, including 3+ years working with manager or director level.
\n\tCore Adept Capabilities: Project Management, Influence and Negotiate, Deliver Results, Think and Solve Problems
\n\tCore Intermediate Capabilities: Manage and Develop People, Finance, Act with Integrity
\n\tIndustry Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP, Prince2)
\n\tAbility to operate a personal computer and other standard office equipment.
\n\tIntermediate to advanced proficiency in working with Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, diagram\/process flow software, conference software, and statistical software.
\n\tStrong troubleshooting and technical research abilities a must.
\n\tMust demonstrate the ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment.
\n\tMust be able to effectively multi-task with complete follow through.
\n\tMust be energetic, self-motivated, and flexible.
\n\tExcellent interpersonal\/communication\/written\/documentation skills.
\n\tMust have the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
\n\tDemonstrated experience in resource management.
\n\tExperience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

Desirable<\/p>\n
\tMulti-year hands-on working experience in at least two functional areas (operations, finance, sales\/marketing, human resources, client services) and at least one information technology area (infrastructure, support, design, development, testing)
\n\tCertified in an industry recognized process Improvement or quality program (e.g. Six Sigma, TQM)
\n\tExperience working within a humanitarian development agency
\n\tExperience working for a private or public agency funding NGOs.
\n\tExperience in working under multi-cultural and diverse environments.
\n\tExperience in working for a global entity with reaches across a 12-hour time zone
\n\tExperience in consulting, sales and\/or client services
\n\tFluency in any of the following languages: Arabic, Spanish, Swahili, French.<\/p>\n
Additional Technical or Language Requirements<\/p>\n
\tRequired: Proficient in Swahili.
\n\tPreferred: Logistics, medical\/pharmaceutical, and software sales background.
\n\tPreferred: Understanding of the Kenya Digital Act 2023 and Data Protection Act (2019)
\n\tPreferred: Experience in using Smartsheets<\/p>\n
