Roles and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDesign and implement automation tools and frameworks for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.
\n\tCollaborate with development teams to understand requirements and implement solutions
\n\tDevelop and maintain CI\/CD pipelines to automate software delivery
\n\tMonitor and manage infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
\n\tTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development, deployment, and operations.
\n\tImplement and maintain version control systems, configuration management tools, and other DevOps-related technologies.
\n\tContinuously improve processes and tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.
\n\tDocument processes and workflows to support team knowledge sharing.
\n\tDevelop, test, implement, maintain, and optimize automated software delivery in an Infrastructure as Code (IAC) environment.
\n\tImplement integrations requested by software engineering teams.
\n\tContribute to improving system reliability, availability and performance.
\n\tStay up to date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps<\/p>\n
Education and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field
\n\t5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps role, and\u00a0experience in working on a Linux based infrastructure.
\n\tRelevant certifications in cloud platforms will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n
Skills and Competencies:<\/p>\n
\tExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
\n\tGood knowledge in Docker and Kubernetes for container management and orchestration.
\n\tHands on experience with DevOps tools and technologies, such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, terraform and Ansible, GitHub Actions and other CI\/CD tools.
\n\tExperience in one or more programming languages, preferably Python and Javascript
\n\tLinux system administration, monitoring, security best practices, networking, and logging.
\n\tGood knowledge of shell scripting, Java or Python.
\n\tKnowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
\n\tWorking knowledge of databases both RDBS and NoSQL.
\n\tFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
\n\tExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
\n\tAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
\n\tContinuous learning mindset to stay updated with evolving technologies and industry best practices.
\n\tFamiliarity with command-line tools on Linux or another UNIX-like operating system.
\n\tExperience with version control systems such as GIT.
\n\tFamiliarity with open-source platforms and tools such as Digital Global Goods (CHT, CommCare, OpenSRP, OpenMRS, OpenLMIS, DHIS2, etc.) would be advantageous.<\/p>\n
